🎭 50 Years of Melton Theatre 🎭

This year marks an incredible milestone – 50 years of Melton Theatre.

As a local dance company, we feel incredibly lucky to call this theatre home. In just the last year, we’ve had the privilege of bringing two AHDC productions to its stage; our very first showcase, DEBUT in September 2025, and Hansel & Gretel in May 2026.

For so many performers, stepping onto that stage is a moment they’ll never forget. It’s where confidence grows, memories are made, and lifelong friendships begin.

Swipe through to see your AHDC teachers performing on the Melton Theatre stage over the years. From dance shows to acting productions, this theatre has been part of our journeys long before AHDC even existed.

For Miss Mags especially, Melton Theatre holds a very special place in her heart. She has been performing on this stage for 22 years, growing up through countless productions and making memories that have shaped who she is today. It’s been a huge part of her life and now she gets to watch AHDC dancers create their own memories on the very same stage.

And here’s a fun AHDC fact… Miss Evie and Miss Mags actually got together after being cast as love interests in a theatre production. So, in a way, we have Melton Theatre to thank for AHDC too!

Thank you to everyone who has kept this wonderful venue alive for the last 50 years. Here’s to the performers, volunteers, audiences, staff and supporters who make it such a special place.

Long live Melton Theatre. Here’s to the next 50 years. ❤️

Every single class has been working so hard on their dances for Encore and we are honestly blown away by the effort, commitment and talent we’re seeing every week.

From our tiniest dancers right through to our seniors and adults, everyone is giving it their all and it’s already shaping up to be something really special. 💙

We are so proud of every single AHDC dancer. The energy in the studio is incredible and if rehearsals are anything to go by, this show is going to be absolutely AMAZING! 🎭✨
