If you've been on the fence about whether to try yoga, there's no better time than right now.
Why?
When you delay taking action on your health (or anything for that matter), it often falls to the wayside. It becomes an inner fantasy of what we want to create, who we want to be and how we want to live. And as lovely as fantasies are, it leaves us stuck exactly where we are.
Here are some facts:
45% of people are more likely to keep active if there's a social link. So whether you bring a friend or make some here we're sure to keep you accountable.
Learning or honing a new skill increases our dopamine levels which make us feel happy. For me, there's nothing better than the sense of achievement or calm that I get from yoga.
People who schedule their activities are more likely to commit to their plans and achieve their goals.
And, I don't really talk about the effects of yoga on the way our body looks. I much prefer to think of it as building strength, reducing muscle tension and feeling calm...but I guess the toning is a happy accident.
Yoga is still the most popular group exercise in the world, and for good reason.
..do you think it's decision time?
Why not come along for a trial session next term?
There's gentle yoga, mixed ability yoga, pregnancy yoga or chair yoga to choose from!
