It's PID back again and it's only 4 weeks today (Sunday 6th September) when we have our CLAIRE LOMAS MEMORIAL RIDEOUT with more details on the attached poster and the link below to pre-register before the day ... we also have some new designs for this year to mark the 'first' rideout with our new name.

The Rideout falls in the middle of a very busy ten days where we will be continuing to highlight Claire's amazing legacy with the huge honour of attending the BBC Make A Difference Awards night on 3rd September, a couple of interviews coming up on BBC Radio Leicester followed by running the 5k in Newcastle on the 11th September just before taking on the 13.2 miles of the Great North Run in wheelchairs on the 13th September.

Hi again, its Stuart Pid Hall and I just wanted to remind everyone about the Claire Lomas Memorial Rideout taking place on Sunday 6th September.

We are following the successful format created by Claire 10 years ago which always receives amazing feedback from the riders who return year after year. We meet at Wistow Cafe Bistro where breakfast rolls are available and leave just after 11am and take a beautiful journey through the countryside to arrive at the glorious setting of Eye Kettleby Lakes where we have hot & cold drinks, cakes, sweets and ice cream, a raffle, games and a chance to chat and enjoy the surroundings.

Although you can turn up on the day, its a great help if you can pre-register before the end of August by following this link (please include your name!)

ALL money raised will help LOROS Hospice, a charity that Claire was keen to support.

It's Stuart Pid Hall again and I'm pleased to say that Dan Spincer and myself will be pimping up our wheelchairs and taking part in the LOROS Hospice Twilight Walk in Leicester on Saturday 20th June. This will not only help us raise vital funds for a charity that was a favourite for Claire but also allows us to take part in a local event which will be great experience and one we are looking forward to.

Stuart Pid Hall here and I’m pleased to say Dan Spincer and myself yesterday completed the first event in our 5 Race Challenge … the Bristol 10k.

We found it to be a pretty tough course for our wheelchairs with lots of steep hills, narrow streets, cobblestones, gravel, and at least 10 hairpin turns! Not too easy in wheelchairs that have no sense of direction!! 😱

Thanks as always to Ollie and his team at the Great North Run but a HUGE thank you as well to the people of Bristol who turned out in their numbers and their amazing support certainly helped us get up those hills.

We are supporting both Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation and Whizz Kidz and obviously everything helps us keep alive the memory and legacy of Claire.

Hi everyone, its Stuart Pid Hall here and a week today Dan Spincer and myself should have completed the first event in our 5 Race Challenge ... the Bristol 10k in wheelchairs. Its a new area for us to visit in our challenges that always include the Great North Run.

We can't wait to sample first hand the fantastic support of the Bristol.Live community.
