🌟 MEET OUR STUDENT MENTORS! 🌟

We’re so excited to introduce our amazing Student Mentors at Alliance Dance Academy! 💜

Our Student Mentors play such an important role within our classes. From assisting teachers and helping demonstrate exercises, to supporting students who might need a little extra encouragement, they’re there to help make every dancer feel welcome, confident and included. 🩰✨

For some of our younger or more shy dancers, having a friendly familiar face in the room can make such a huge difference. Our mentors can be someone to chat to, ask questions, learn from — and sometimes simply a friend who makes them feel a little more comfortable. 🥰

But it’s not just our younger dancers who benefit! 💫

Being a Student Mentor gives our older students valuable real-world experience and transferable skills, including:
✨ Leadership & responsibility
✨ Communication & teamwork
✨ Confidence & initiative
✨ Working with different ages and abilities
✨ Problem-solving
✨ Classroom management
✨ Experience within a teaching environment

It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop skills that will benefit them inside and outside of the dance studio, whilst giving back to the school they love. 💜

We’re incredibly proud of every one of our Student Mentors and the role models they are becoming! 🌟

✨ MEET THE FOUNDER ✨

Hi, I’m Lucy! 👋🏼 I’m the Founder & Director of Alliance Dance Academy, and I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself! 💕

I’ve been teaching dance for 8 years, before that I spent years assisting at my childhood dance school and have absolutely loved every minute of watching our dancers grow, build confidence and fall in love with dance. 🥹✨

A little bit about me…

🎓 1st Class BA (Hons) in Dance Teaching, Performance & Choreography from the University of Derby
🩰 ISTD DDE qualified in Tap, Ballet & Modern
👞 ISTD Advanced 2 in Tap & Modern
🩰 ISTD Intermediate in Ballet
💃🏼 8 years of teaching experience
✨ Founder & Director of Alliance Dance Academy since 2022

And finally… my favourite styles to teach and dance are Tap & Lyrical! 👞🤍

Alliance started from a love of dance and a dream to create a school where everyone feels welcome, supported and encouraged to be the best dancer they can be — and I’m so proud of how much our little dance family has grown. 🥹

Today marks the end of an era 💔

Today we’re saying a very special goodbye to our wonderful teacher, Niamh. 🥹💕

Niamh, thank you for all of the love, energy, patience and dedication you have given to our dancers. You have made such a positive impact on so many of our students, and we know they will miss you in their classes, your smile and your infectious energy so much!

It has been such a pleasure having you as part of the Alliance Dance Academy team, to watch you grow and find your groove, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done for us. 🩷

Although we’re sad to say goodbye, we’re so excited to see what the future holds for you and wish you nothing but happiness and success in your next chapter!

Thank you for everything, Niamh — you will always be part of the Alliance family! 🫶🏼✨
