Clerklands Fly Fishery

Clerklands Fly Fishery Clerklands is a beautiful loch of around 4 acres in size and is up to 25ft deep in places. It is a very tranquil place to fish and have a relaxing day.

Clerklands Fly Fishery is set within the Riddell Estate, which lies about 5 minutes drive from Selkirk and about 10 minutes from Hawick. Time travel from Edinburgh is around 1 hour and from Newcastle around 1 1/2 hours. There is a good stock of brown trout for sporting purpose only and rainbow trout are stocked regularly up to double figures in size. Clerklands Fly Fishery is a Troutmaster Water.

Half day (4 hours): £10.00

Evening sporting ticket(after 4:00pm) £8.00

Welcome to the 2024 fishing season at Clerklands.
We have delayed our stocking a little bit this season due to the freezing cold, wet and windy weather conditions. We are happy to announce we have stocked the fishery today.
Prior to stocking anglers have Been catching some nice fish with some cracking brownies and blues being caught.
Looking forward to a good season and some happy fishing.

Please ignore our last message regarding fishery closing times the revised times are as follows: monday the 4th and wednesday the 6th from 9am to 4pm.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the Clerklands Cup Competition and thank you to Danny Moore for taking some great pictures through out the day and also thank you to John Anderson for taking care of the catering.. It was great to see everyone enjoy themselves and there was some great fishing with some really nice big fish being caught. The biggest fish of the day was caught by Chris Grieve weighing 9 lb. The winner with heaviest bag was Rory O'Connon, Second place was Chris Grieve and the third place was Steven Paterson. Thank you again lads for supporting Clerklands Fly Fishery it is your support that keep us going.
