OUR 2ND XI ARE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!

After a big win yesterday at home to Bathford 2s, our 2nd XI now hold an unassailable lead at the top of WCCL Division 9 table to clinch just the club’s second ever league title.

A big well done to everyone involved in the 2s in 2026. Been a superb campaign which has seen loads of players step up and make key contributions.

Still two more games left to hopefully put some real gloss on the season.

Now over to the 1s and the 3s, who are both very much in the hunt for glory themselves in the final two weeks…

The Mavericks continued their season on Monday by beating the previously undefeated Frome hardball side. With an exceptional bowling performance the Mavericks restricted Frome to 248.
The Mavericks made hard work of the chase but eventually ran out winners by 20 runs.

The Mavericks softball team completed their 2nd victory of the season in batting friendly conditions against Goatacre at Melksham.
The visitors set a well constructed total of 323 for the loss of 3 wickets.
Melkshams reply started strongly and with 3 partnerships of 40+ and another of 30+ chased down the total for the loss of 3 wickets. The final total being 348, a record for the softball team!
