The Mavericks soft ball team to play against Devizes tonight!

The Mavericks softball team completed their 2nd victory of the season in batting friendly conditions against Goatacre at Melksham.
The visitors set a well constructed total of 323 for the loss of 3 wickets.
Melkshams reply started strongly and with 3 partnerships of 40+ and another of 30+ chased down the total for the loss of 3 wickets. The final total being 348, a record for the softball team!

Congratulations to the Mavericks for their 2nd win of the season against a strong bowling unit from Box.
An outstanding performance from all, but particularly Tegan, who on debut took 2 wickets -the first with her first ball in hardball league cricket, a catch and contributed with the bat- great work Tegan!
