💛🖤💛🖤💛😎💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤Great performance on the Halliwell show in Bolton yesterday.
🥊First we had Jayan on a last minute skills bout.
A great matched bout with both boys enjoying the experience.
🥊Next we had Mason, again a great matched bout with a strong durable opponent both boxers having success, in a bout of the night contender. Mason coming away with the win.
🥊Lastly well done to Ibrahime making his debut within the coaching team 👏 🙌

A memorable day for Marty yesterday and for the club

He took the bout on an hours notice, traveled to Ripon and did what we all know he is capable of 👏

Getting the win in empathic fashion and leaving nothing to chance, then was up at 9am this morning taking part in a park run

That is exactly the sort of dedication that shone through last night.

Fantastic effort Marty, well done and an extra appreciation to the team for making it happen last minute.

Thank you to The Camp Detox Boxing Club on hosting us for some great competitive rounds of sparring

It’s always a pleasure and always fantastic rounds guaranteed whenever we’re invited there and this time was no exception.

Well done to all the lads that took part and to Danny a former Meanwood boxer himself, for accommodating us.

Yesterday we celebrated Coach Craig getting married. 🤩🥳
Behind every volunteer coach is a partner or family member behind the scene that supports them, alot of the time no recognition at all.
So here's the official Welcome to the team Tiffany. 🙏👏
Craig attend the gym some eight years ago and had a great amount of bouts for us.
He's now with us as a valued coach supporting the team, his daughter and nephew in the competitive ranks with in our club.
Craig has come along way over the years and is a credit to the gym. 👊

Appreciation post

Young Azarii, one of our part time club members and step son of assistant coach Craig is an accomplished dancer at national and world level 3 times over, amongst other accolades in the dancing world.

A young man who is the personification of dedication and puts in what he gets out, and always delivers a winner’s performance when called upon.

Azarii was recently scouted by the high street fashion shop ‘Schuh’ to take part in a national advertising campaign showcasing his dancing skills.

It goes to show what can be achieved with focus and steely determination

Well done kiddo 👏

🥊 The longer you spend in a boxing gym…

The more you understand that everyone is fighting a different battle.

One fighter is chasing a dream.

Another is rebuilding their confidence.

Someone else is simply trying to become a better version of themselves.

From the outside, it looks like everyone is doing the same workout.

But every person is carrying a different reason for being there.

Maybe that’s why respect comes so naturally in this sport.

You never really know…

What someone had to overcome just to step through those gym doors.
