3rd Round Premiership League fixtures today seen the team needing to adjust due to our No.1 keeper, Andrew Roseburgh still recovering from a recent operation.
The team continued their good form from the 2nd round fixtures, gaining 9 points from a maximum 12 points.
3 wins and a narrow defeat to a 1 goal penalty win to Po***ck United.
Carrick O50’s Walking Football Club remain in 2nd place at the top end of the table with one more round to go on 11th October- well done lads!!

Carrick O50’s Walking Football Club finds themselves in a fortunate position by adding another valuable sponsor. Raymond Cooper of Prestwick’s, Golf Inn and new business venture, Golf Inn Prestwick Apartments, is a Maybole man born and bred and his heart still remains deep rooted in the Carrick Community.

Raymond and his family has shown great support to the Carrick team, by providing financial support not only for 2026, but to continue it on till the end of the 2027 season.

The squad players are extremely grateful for Raymond and his team’s commitment and generosity which will go towards renewing individual player’s kit.

Carrick O50’s Walking Football Club travel to Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility this weekend to play in the 3rd round of the top Walking Football Scotland West - O50’s Premiership League, where they sit in 2nd place and 1 point behind the table leaders.

Once again, thanks to Raymond and his family for their kindness and generosity.

Second round fixtures of the Walking Football Scotland Over 50’s West Premiership today.
Great all round team performance, undefeated and winning all 4 games beating table leaders St Anthony’s (greens) whilst taking a maximum of 12 points.
The team are currently sitting with 20 points from a possible 24 points and 1 point off the top of the table.
It was great to have one of our valued team members, Gerry Stokes along today, who is still recovering from a serious accident…the team wish him nothing but the very best in the remainder of his recovery.

This team continues to make progress together. Competing in today’s, 24 team Glasgow Life Trophy. During the group stages Carrick came away with 3 wins by beating Dunfermline Athletic, Collingham and Locals Ayr Utd. 1 draw against Raith Rovers where Raith equalised on the last kick of the game and 1 defeat to St Anthony’s. Securing 10 points allowed the team to progress on to the next stage of the knock out quarters finals. Our quarterfinal game was won by a strong Townhead Strollers team and our competition ended there with a 2 - 0 defeat.

Played 4 challenging games today with 2 of our experienced players missing due to family commitments.

We finish the day 5 points off the top of the league and 2 points from claiming a Champions League spot.

Great performance today to make up for our poor first round fixtures in February.
Came away with 9 points out of a possible 12, beating Motherwell 1 - 0 who sit joint leaders. Big thanks to Davie Kennedy, Stuart Smith and Gary Robinson for their efforts today and playing 1st time competition walking football together.

Carrick O50’s Walking Football Club was visiting local man and Company Director Alan Dunabie and Lead Mechanic Gordon McMillan at the company premises today.

Carrick O50’s Walking Football Club were Championship winners in 2024 in their first year of competition and earned themselves promotion into the top Premiership league for the 2025 season.

The team squad would again like to thank Alan and the board of directors at IMT Aviation Scotland Ltd for their generosity and continued support for the 2025 season.
