Carrick Rugby Carrick Rugby Website Welcome to Carrick Rugby Football Club. We are a vibrant community based rugby club covering the whole of North and South Carrick.

In January 2021 we became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC050725 reflecting our passion for our community and our sport. The club has micro-mini, midi and senior sections. The senior side competes in Tennent's West Regional League Division 1, so why not come along, whether you are looking for a game or just a bit of fitness. We welcome players and volunteers of all ages and stages to come and join us for regular coaching/ training sessions, seasonal camps and social activities. Our 1st XV travel to Cambuslang tomorrow looking to build on last weekend’s opening win.

🏉 CARRICK RFC WEEKEND CATCH UP 🔵⚫️

Another busy weekend of rugby across the club, with plenty to look back on and another big weekend ahead!

Our 1st XV Men made it two wins from two with a dramatic 48–46 victory over Dalziel on Saturday, following up their opening away win at Annan. Euan Hutchison was named Player of the Match after a brilliant performance. 👏

On Sunday, our Mini & Micro section travelled to Irvine for their first rugby of the season. There was some fantastic rugby across P1–P7, plenty of tries and, most importantly, a brilliant morning back on the pitch. Jamie and Archie picked up Player of the Match awards for P4–P5 and P6–P7 respectively. 🏉

It was also a busy Sunday for our youth sections. Our U16 Girls faced Dumfries, our U16 Boys took on East Kilbride/Whitecraigs, while our U14 Girls were in action against Ayr. Results didn’t go our way, but there were plenty of positives across all three groups and valuable competitive rugby to build on as the season gets underway. 💪

We want to hear from **players, parents, volunteers, former players and families across Girvan** about the future of our rugby provision in the town.

We know that attendance and volunteer availability can change over time, and we want to make sure what we offer in Girvan works for the people we're here to support.

🏉 WEEKEND ROUND-UP | WHAT’S NEXT 💙🖤

A look back at the weekend’s action for our Carrick sides, with plenty of rugby on show across the club.

Our Men’s 1st XV got their season off to a strong start with a 37–28 win away to Annan, with Nathan Harvey named Player of the Match after a standout performance. 👏

Our U16 Girls also picked up an impressive 74–24 victory over Lenzie.

Our U18 Girls were in action against Cambuslang and, despite the result not going their way, produced plenty of positives with Holly Morland crossing for four tries and adding three conversions.

💙🖤 THANK YOU, ANDREW 💙🖤

Before we announce our first Men’s 1st XV team selection of the 2026/27 season, we want to take the opportunity to recognise and thank someone who has played a huge part in Carrick RFC over the past eight years.

Due to increasing work commitments, Andrew Gamble has stepped down from his roles as Director of Rugby and Men’s 1st XV Head Coach.

Andrew’s contribution to Carrick goes far beyond his most recent roles.

He first came on board eight years ago as our Mini Convener, at a time when the section was facing an extremely difficult period. Andrew played a huge part in rebuilding it, bringing new volunteers and players into the club and helping create a sustainable Minis section.

The impact of that work can still be seen today. The foundations laid during those years helped drive the regrowth of our wider youth section and created opportunities for many of the young players now progressing through the club.

Throughout his time at Carrick, Andrew has also taken on significant responsibilities behind the scenes, including co-line managing our employed staff and playing an important role in the development and direction of rugby across the club.

In more recent years, Andrew stepped into the role of Men’s 1st XV Head Coach, overseeing another hugely successful chapter for Carrick.

Under his leadership, the 1st XV achieved:

🏆 Promotion
🏆 National Shield Champions
🏉 A strong first season back in West Division 1

Those achievements only tell part of the story. Andrew has given an enormous amount of his time, energy and experience to Carrick over the past eight years and has helped shape the club both on and off the pitch.

While we are sorry to see him step away from these roles, we completely understand the demands of work and want to place on record our sincere thanks for everything he has contributed.

From rebuilding the Minis to helping deliver national silverware with the 1st XV, Andrew leaves a lasting mark on Carrick RFC.

Thank you for everything, Andrew. You’ll always be a huge part of the Carrick family. 💙🖤

🏉 1ST XV | TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT 🏉

And here it is… our first Men’s 1st XV team announcement of the 2026/27 season! 💙🖤

Our season gets underway tomorrow as we make the trip south to face Annan RFC, with a 2PM kick off.

A new season and a new chapter for the 1st XV, with John Fulton taking charge as Head Coach, supported by Ross McCulloch and Euan McGregor.

A strong squad makes the trip as we look to build on last season and get 2026/27 off to a positive start.

A huge thank you, as always, to all of our player, staff and club sponsors whose continued support makes a massive difference to Carrick RFC.
