Congratulations to James Dennis and Craig Pearson worthy winners of The Matlock Park Open 2023 after a great days bowling. Mention too for John Colebourne and Paul Moore as losing finalists.
My thanks to everybody who helped on the day, who helped with setting up for the day and in the planning, it couldn’t have happened without you.
My thanks as well to all who gave their time and effort to providing cakes and food for the refreshments served by Irene and Grethe.
Special thanks to Angela West who was always there through the planning, preparing and running of the whole event.

Matlock Park Bowls Club hosted our first session with Alfreton Park School on Tuesday Morning.
The morning was a great success and a great time was had by all. Well done to everybody involved. Especially to Rod Gill and the staff of Alfreton Park School.
Our thanks to Matlock Town Football Club for allowing the school to park at their ground.

I am pleased to announce that from next Friday, 6th of May, we will be starting our free open sessions for people who want to have a go at Crown Green Bowling.
These sessions are free for the first three times you come and begin at 6.00pm and are weather dependant.
You do not need any equipment to come and have a go. All that we ask is that you wear flat soled shoes to avoid damage to the green.
