Paddlers from our charity canoe club, Paddle Peak, had a special evening on the river yesterday.

The younger Sprogs group embarked on a river trip, starting at Artist Corner finishing at Cromford Mills. Tackling a series of small rapids on the River Derwent, good times were enjoyed by all! Guided safely by Gary and Melissa, many thanks team.

The older Chasers group, were joined by elite canoe slalom athlete and Peak PS team member Ben Haylett. Ben, a local lad, popped by to share his knowledge and passion for slalom to the budding racers. Thanks Ben, we loved having you join us on the water!

🥇Woods wins KX Gold - 🥉Gestin claims Bronze in La Seu 🇪🇸

At the final World Cup race of the 2026 season, team paddler Kim Woods laid claim to the top step of the podium in the KX competition. Battling hard through the rounds, Kim lead the final from start to finish in commanding fashion. Well done Kim!!

In the C1M slalom competition team paddler and Olympic Champion, Nico Gestin, secured a bronze medal in a tightly contested final. Nice one Nico!

The slalom team now move onto the Senior European Championships, Ivrea ITA 🇮🇹
