Team GB Women’s Para Ice Hockey has officially finished 4th in the INAUGURAL Women’s World Championships! 🏒💪

We came to show the world what British para ice hockey is made of and we did just that. From our first drop of the puck to the final buzzer, every single player gave it their all. Heart, hustle, and history. ❤️

To our teammates, coaches, supporters, and everyone who's believed in this journey, you were with us every step of the way. THANK YOU. 🙌

🥉 BRONZE MEDAL MATCH DAY! 🥉

History is being made at the first ever Women’s Para Ice Hockey World Championships, and GB Women are right at the heart of it! 🇬🇧💪

This afternoon, we hit the ice one last time to battle for bronze and we’re ready to leave it all out there.

Our athletes have worked so hard for this moment, this sport is entirely funded by athletes and our sponsors. The dedication is not only on the ice, but off the ice too. With travelling around the UK to camps / training and funding themselves along the way.

🇬🇧FINAL SCORE: Great Britain 0 - 7 Canada 🇨🇦
A tough result today for our GB Women’s Para Ice Hockey team as they faced a strong and experienced Canadian side. With 6 of the 7 goals coming in the first period, it was a challenging start — but the team regrouped and came back out with grit, determination, and heart.
The second and third periods showed real growth and resilience, with GB putting on a much stronger defensive performance and keeping Canada to just one more goal in the remaining periods.

There’s still work to do, but this team is learning, developing, and improving with every game. Proud of their fight and commitment to the sport. 💪🇬🇧

🏒🇬🇧 What a game! 🇬🇧🏒

A well fought battle on the ice, with both teams working hard and pushing each other the entire game, saw GB come out on top in a 2-1 victory!

Head coach Breanna said “We are very happy with how the game went. The athletes worked hard and came together as a team to achieve the common goal of making History.

I couldn't be prouder of all the determination that went into the game.

Now we set up and prepare for Canada.”

The team have been out on the ice for their first training session ahead of the competition!

Head coach Breanna was asked about the week ahead and here is what they had to say…

“We are thrilled to be competing in the first-ever World Championship!
Team GB has grown tremendously over the past four years, alongside the development of the sport itself. We’re excited to face new and great competition, and we’re ready to perform at our best throughout the tournament. It's all the little things that add up to big things and make a successful tournament

You’d think being a GB athlete on two para ice hockey teams who have only just finished their respective trips abroad and having a high intensity full time job in the NHS would be enough for anyone… but not our Captain Stacey!!

Today, Stacey flies out to Columbia to represent England in in the Amputee Football World Cup. What an incredible honour!

Congratulations Stacey, we can’t wait to cheer you and the women on in your games over the coming days!
