The most ‘challenging’ week that Peter has ever faced in 35 years in maggot business!
Never had orders cut like this, but hey it is what it is, we have to accept it, and it’s countrywide.
Numerous reasons as to why, but as a wholesaler we’re 170 gallons short this week to what we ordered😱
So when your customer walks into your shop this week and is possibly arsey and says ‘I’ll go elsewhere’ please tell that person ‘yep, crack on’ and if you can do it, get me some🤣
As one small wholesaler, we’re 1360 pints down this week, multiply by however many wholesalers in country….yes, there is an absolutely huge, countrywide maggot shortage at the minute!!
Oh, and this is our weekly surplus that we normally have in our fridge….
Trying times for sure, but maggot farm is confident for next week, fingers hugely crossed!
We really have hated letting customers down, but hopefully normal service will resume next week. Thank you for your continued understanding.
