ANYONE FOR TENNIS? 🎾

A friendly tennis club for players of all abilities based at Netherhall School, we have the use of four floodlit courts and a club house. We have regular ‘social tennis’ sessions and enter teams into the West Cumbria Summer and Winter Leagues. Throughout the year, we organise social events like ten-pin bowling, an annual barbecue and several ‘fun’ tournaments.

We had a very good turnout for the summer tournament and barbecue on Saturday, on a rather blustery day. The overall winner was Anne, and joint runners up Brian and Jodie.
Special guests were former club members David & Wendy, and it was great to see them again!

New members pay only £20 subs for their first year. (There is also a £2 charge each time you play, which covers the cost of new balls.)

The Summer Tournament and Barbecue for club members is on Saturday, 13th June at 2.00 pm, and the cost is £10 for both. Please let Olivia know if you are coming by 8th June.

The Winter League matches have concluded and Maryport 1 were placed 4th in Division 1 and Maryport 2 came 3rd in Division 2. Unfortunately the season was hampered this year by the incessant rain.
Summer League matches get underway tomorrow and we are all looking forward to some sunshine! 🔆🔆

We had an excellent afternoon at the tournament yesterday with Debs and David as the overall winners, and a special presentation to Frank for his long service to the club.

Social tennis sessions for members are as follows:*
Monday 6.30-8.30 pm
Wednesday 10-12 noon
Friday 10-12 noon
Sunday 2-4 pm (Winter)
Sunday 5-7 pm (Summer)

*All sessions are weather-dependent, so check with a committee member if in any doubt before attending.
