MISSION DEMI RECCIE☀️

Today's outing was to make sure that we had the route nailed before our Mission Demi❤️ Fundraiser on 1st August in support of the Great North Air Ambulance

For this year we're using the Kong Terrex Round and it is honestly an absolute cracker from start to finish!

Wall to wall sunshine today and boy was it hot 🔥 but the cold ones in Wetherspoons post run certainly helped to cool things down🍻

It's a great cause folks and any donations received are very much appreciated👍

We'll be putting a few longer runs on in preparation over the coming weeks if anyone would like to join us⛰️🙂

CLUB NEWS🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🙂

Over the next few months we'll be looking to further develop the👇

SOCIAL RUN & CRAIC 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Element of our club, we've got quite a few members now who thoroughly enjoy all the health and social aspects of club running, but who don't really want to race, which is absolutely fine.

So we started thinking that there might be others out there who feel the same way, but are put off joining a club thinking that there will be a pressure to enter races.

So if this is you please get in touch and come along on one of our social trail runs, there will be zero expectations of you ever having to do a race.

That said we still want to continue building a competitive element to Maryport CSC and will continue to promote and offer opportunities for competitive runners, whilst at the same time developing our 👇

We now meet at least 3 times per week, have a really nice group of runners and we train in some beautiful locations, winter and summer alike⛰️☀️ ❄️

It was like visiting an old friend🙂

We were back in Ellenside gym tonight for another Friday class tester.

As soon as we kicked off all the great memories of old came flooding back, we definitely can't leave it as long next time!

RUNNING CLUB

Established in April 2025, Maryport CSC Running Club is based at Netherhall Community Sports Centre. A friendly running club, which welcomes new members of all abilities, we encourage and maintain a real mix of runners. We train and race on the road, fell, trail and cross country.
The common bond that unites our members, regardless of their individual background, ability or aim, is that we all enjoy running, keeping fit and socialising!

Member benefits:
• Affiliation with England Athletics and Northern Athletics, giving you discounted entry to races.
• Twice weekly training sessions led by qualified and experienced coaches.

A great evening up Setmurphy for our Thursday club run🌲🏃

Good trails, good crack, nice downhill finish and it stayed dry…what more could you ask for?😝

🏅Sian and Shaun’s castle 5km

The soon to be Clark’s completed their 2nd castle 5km race tonight in Carlisle. Well done both, that’s 2/4 complete!

Sian finished with a time of 24-50 and Shaun with a time of 16-39💪🏾
