Maryport Athletic FC Maryport Athletic FC have over 300 children training with us ages ranging from 4-18. Making friends, having fun whilst playing the game we all love.

New from the 2019/2020 season an open age team playing in the Cumberland county league.

💜💛 Under 14 girls 💜💛

Another brilliant game this evening for the Decking Design sponsored u14’s against Moor Row resulting in a solid 3-1 win with 1 goal coming in from Saoirse and 2 from Taylor.

Moor Row were a tough team but the girls kept their heads and knuckled down when it counted, displaying some great teamwork using all sides of the pitch. Imogen stepped in to cover in the Goalkeeper position for Megan while she's injured and showed some impressive saves - well done Imogen!

In all honesty, we could have picked any of them but Taylor was our choice for girl of the game for the sheer grit and determination she showed when up against some tough opposition. All in all, 2 from 2 at the start of a new season definitely isn't to be sniffed at so a huge well done to all the girls...keep it up!! ⚽️🙂

Yesterday our openage made hardwork of getting the 3 points at home to Northbank Football Club

First half we played some good stuff but went behind very early doors to a goal of a long throw. Harry Watson got a goal on his debut with a good finish to the far post. About 5 later a good press from Ciaran Laverty left him one on one with the keeper to put us 2 ahead. They went down to 10 men and we should of added further goals before half time.

Second half we were very sloppy and tried to go forward to fast and kept losing the ball. Which gave Northbank opportunities on the counter. Both sides should of scored in the second half but They really put us under pressure in last 10.

An amazing performance this morning from U11s. Great team work, communication and tactical thinking.
All of the girls played amazingly and! There were great goals from Violet, Georgie and Olivia! ⚽️

💪 special mention to Ada & Holly who were amazing in nets! 🥅

Girls of the Game went to - Inola and Poppy. Well done girls.

Well played to our Decking Design sponsored Maryport U12s today securing a 1-1 draw against Cockermouth. Thanks to Isabella who scored our goal and player of the match too!

Our goalkeeper Lacey Mae saved just about everything that came her way, and Ava, Alice and Lilly were soild in defence. Daisy and Elise dominated in midfield. Sienna and Olivia battled all game and some really good play from Hatty, Sophie and Scarlet who all got straight into game! Well done to Georgie on her debut to the team too! Brilliant performances from the girls showing some great teamwork and skill!

Our Decking Design sponsored under 13’s took on Whitehaven u13’s in the West Cumbria Youth League this morning.
The girls were up against an outstanding side who played some great football. Our girls kept battling and had some great chances but today certainly wasn’t our day in a hugely competitive league. We will be back next week to go again.

Our girls of the game went to Kendall for another outstanding game in goals and Bella for never giving up and showing 💯 effort at all times. Girls now just need to keep building and believing.

Super performance from U10 girls today against Whitehaven AFC. Some great passing, solid defending and great goalkeeping. The girls got stuck in from the very start. A brilliant goal kick from Olivia C fell perfectly to Olivia B to score the our first goal. After that a cheeky through ball from Olivia C allowed Anna to run on and sn**ch the second goal. A brilliant match filled with goals from both sides. We're improving every match and every one of the girls played brilliantly.
