Yesterday, our very own Liam Holm played the PING Junior Golf Tour playing in the 2026 Grand Final at Thonock Park golf club in the under 21s category… and took home the net prize after a excellent round of golf⛳️

Throughout the year, players compete across a season-long Order of Merit including 26 qualifying competitions incorporating a number of major events held at some of the best Golf Clubs in the Country⛳️

The Top 8 Boys & Top 8 Girls in each category (Gross & Nett) qualify via the Order of Merit for the PJGT Masters Grand Final will Liam did successfully after a brilliant season‼️

Liam from all of us here at Maryport golf club, we couldn’t be prouder of you and your achievements throughout the years at Maryport🏆

🌱⛳ NATIONAL THANK A GREENKEEPER DAY ⛳🌱

Today is National Thank a Greenkeeper Day, so we wanted to take a moment to give a massive shout-out to the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our golf course looking and playing its best. 👏

Here at Maryport Golf Club, our greenkeeping team put in countless hours, whatever the weather, to maintain our course and keep it in the best condition possible. 🌧️☀️💨

From early mornings to long days, cutting, mowing, repairing, preparing and dealing with everything the Cumbrian weather throws at them — their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! 💚

Golfers often see the finished course, but it’s our greenkeepers who put in the work to make it happen. ⛳️

So today, we simply want to say:

THANK YOU! 👏🌱

We’re incredibly lucky to have a hardworking team who take pride in Maryport Golf Club and continue to work hard to give our members and visitors the best experience possible.

2026 County Matchplay Champion Will Bowe.

In a repeat of last years final it was Will who came out on top in his battle with Workington Golf Club clubmate Jack Hunter by 2&1.

The quality of golf on show from both players was outstanding and worthy of any final.

Huge thanks to Maryport Golf Club and their members for their hospitality over the weekend and presenting a course in superb condition 👍
