I spent last month in Spain and had a great time.
To practice, play and compete in warm weather in February was a privilege. I’m incredibly grateful, especially to a good friend who was willing to tolerate me for that long.
The golf? A little behind (to say the least).
But in August, I made the decision to prioritise my recovery, physically and mentally. The last couple of years have tested my resilience more than I ever expected. Head injuries are no joke, and I’m fully aware I’m one of the lucky ones.
Spain was the first real opportunity to test myself after months of hard work. And for the first time in two years, I’m heading into a season closer to feeling 100% like myself again.
I’ve set myself the challenge of getting back to competing full-time from May, with no pressure and no expectations. Just grateful for being able to try.
If you’re in the middle of a setback, whatever it looks like, just keep moving, even if it’s side steps. Progress isn’t always loud, but it’s happening.

Burnout has been hitting hard lately.
Felt good to be back at my home club this morning, shelling a few eggs. Looking forward to a catch up with my coach Nick on Friday!
Spain next week.
