Nomads HFT An HFT club It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the opening of a new HFT club set in the Worcestershire village of Berrow Green, Martley.

Nomads HFT is a brand new club opening at the superb ground that was formerly home to Worcester Air Rifles. The club, run by the members, opened in August 2015 and has been welcoming new and old shooters from all walks of life. We mostly shoot HFT courses set to UKAHFT specifications but we are trying to expand the facilities at the club to cater for other shooting disciplines and for those that d

o not wish to compete in any particular discipline. There is also a plinking range with targets ranging from 8 yards to over 50 yards. Come and zero your rifle and work out your range cards. There are paper targets, spinners and knock-over targets to practice on. There are pegs to rest your rifle on when shooting prone and there are a couple of benches that can be used if you prefer to shoot sitting. There are normally a few experienced HFT shooters on site, who are more than happy to help new shooters with setting up their rifles and with advice about the technical aspects of airgun shooting.

Bright and sunny day greeted us this morning. A slight breeze but not the usual Nomads which way is it blowing type wind.
Depleted numbers today as most members had a visit over the border to Nelson for the interclub comp.
But what we lacked in quantity we certainly made up with quality.

So today we saw the final round of the Compass Series at Nomads HFT with 21 brave souls taking on the Nomads wind. However it was not quite as strong as it can be but lulled a few people in to a false sense of security. Well done and thanks to the course setters for another great course!

Today was a much cooler morning down at Nomads HFT but thankfully the ever present "nomads wind" was still with us.
Only six shooters due to everybody else taking the much easier option of the English Open

Reduced turn out today due to some members having commitments elswhere. For those in attendance the conditions where good with just a light troublesome breeze to contend with.

Making the most of the conditions was Mark Stretton scoring a brilliant 57, followed by Ewan Strachan on 53. Top of recoiling was Perry Broad (52) and top lady today was Dawn Harding (49)

And the scores are in for the Compass Series Round 3!

The sun was out with a lovely left, right, left, right again wind! Numbers were down a little from previous rounds but none the less fun was had by all who attended in the wind. Some definitely coping with the wind better than other.

Another lovely course with some range traps catching me out for one (thanks for peg 28!)

I believe there was at least one PB but not marked on the card so cant recall who, so to who it was well done!

Also Ade trying to confuse me and bu**er up the spreadsheet by switching from Recoiling to Open (not Vets like I asked, apologies again lol).

Lovely day for shooting today at Nomads, a nice cool start becoming warmer then hot in the afternoon. Not much wind to speak of although there was just enough air movement to unexpectedly take a pellet just outside of the kill zone.

Jason Cowan made the most of the conditions in the open class scoring a superb class winning 59 followed by Lee Platt on 56. Not many in recoiling today due to a couple of our regular springer shooters giving their PCPs a run out for a change. In the ladies class Gill McNab topped the field with 52.

After the recent heat, it was a welcome relief to be shooting in the relatively cool shade that was provided by trees covering our course today.
There was however a blustery (strong at times) wind that would come and go without warning, making scoring difficult.
So well done to all who took part today.
