What helps us widen our circles of care and awaken a more inclusive, compassionate heart?

As we navigate political division, collective uncertainty, and personal challenges, mindful awareness and spiritual imagination can help us stay connected to love without being overwhelmed by the suffering we witness.

Drawing from mindfulness, compassion practices, personal stories, and timeless wisdom teachings, Tara explores how we can move beyond fear, reactivity, and "othering" toward a deeper experience of our shared humanity.

This talk is an invitation to reconnect with the truth of our belongingβ€”to ourselves, to one another, and to the living world. When we deepen our attention and allow our hearts to be touched, we become part of weaving a more loving future.

We've talked a lot about cultivating and awakening joy these last 2 weeks, and your generosity of spirit to keep returning to our classes and the deep appreciation i feel sharing them with you makes me SO HAPPY!

One of the most persistent myths in yoga is that deeper is better.

But our bodies are not identical.

Differences in skeletal structure, proportions, joint orientation, and connective tissue all influence how a pose feels and how it looks.

A person who appears to be going "deeper" isn't necessarily getting more benefit.

In fact sometimes they've simply reached a different anatomical end range.

In Functional Yoga, we focus on the purpose of the pose rather than the appearance of the pose.

✨ Function over appearance.
✨ Awareness over achievement.
✨ Individual anatomy over idealized shapes.
