Do you have 2.5 minutes to spare?
I really hope so 🤞
This little practice tip is a great way to feel grounded in yourself. Integrating body and breath with mind (focus).
With Autumn 🍂 swirling it can be useful to incorporate grounding practices within our daily rhythm to help cultivate a sense of support and connection with the ground. To come back to ourselves through touch and to focus the mind towards the breath and the point of contact that we are creating.
Here’s how…
Have a shake out… 🌀
Sit or stand comfortable 🌟
Notice your breathing - in and out - notice the rhythm of your breath. 💫
Touch the fingertips and tip of your thumbs together on each hand - it’s as if you form a little basket with your hands. 🙌
Exhale - connect fingers and thumbs closer together.
Inhale - allow that contact soften.
Exhale brings you closer to yourself.
Inhale brings a lightness.
Have a go, small practices with Mudra (gesture) breath and focus go a long way towards restoring physical and mental presence and self-awareness.
