Drowning Prevention Week Begins

🚨 Drowning Prevention Week Starts Today 🚨

Every year, hundreds of people lose their lives in UK waters. Many incidents occur just a few metres from safety and often involve people who never intended to enter the water.

💧 If you find yourself in difficulty in the water:
✅ Tilt your head back with your ears submerged
✅ Relax and control your breathing
✅ Move your hands gently to stay afloat
✅ Call for help or swim to safety when able

Knowing what to do could save your life or someone else's.

And just like that, our favourite event weekend of the year is over!

This weekend, we have covered our largest half marathon St Albans Half Marathon, a dragon boating regatta in Pangbourne and a Triathlon in Dorney.

Weeks of planning, logistics and preparation have lead to a successful delivery of caring and compassionate medical care to 8000 runners and 1500 spectators and members of the public.

Although a busy day for our team, seeing, treating and discharging a wide variety of patients, every member of the team thoroughly enjoys this event every year and always want to return!

This weekend leads us on to where we will be sharing a lot of information to keep yourself and others safe around the water.

Another great event, kicking off our dorney midweek series, for the summer!

Amongst the hottest days of the year (so far! ☀️) we were back for our dorney midweek triathlon, 10k and 5k sessions.

Our summer is just getting started, with our busiest weekends still to come! We have a few spaces left across our diary for medical cover, so please get in touch!
