The business is family owned and managed by me, Simon Leadsom. I typically organise and manage between 5 to 10 trips a year. They generally start with an idea, either mine or a client's, followed by a period of research, looking at the feasibility of what we want to do. I prepare a detailed proposal and itinerary covering flights, inoculations, accommodation, resources (both human and material),
timings, cost options, in fact everything we need to know to base our decision. Should we decide to go ahead I take a deposit, make the necessary arrangements and at the given date we go. My clients tend to be individuals, families or an associated group of individuals (such as a company management team). My trips have been very varied - ranging gentle walking in North Wales, Tuscany and the Juras (Switzerland) to the more arduous GR20 (Corsica), Himalaya treking (Manaslu and Annapurna circuits) and via ferrata (Dolomites) to the more technical ascents of Matterhorn (Switzerland), Nelion and Batian (Mt Kenya) and Mt Ebrus (Russia). Other trips have included Mt Pisang (Himalaya), Mt Toubkal (Morocco), Kilamanjaro (Africa) and treking in the Rocky Mountain National Park (US). Some trips involve other activities such as canoeing and cycling. For instance in 1990 I led a cycling trip from northern Germany to Istanbul (Turkey), a distance of about 2,000 miles . Some of my trips I have done before and others I haven't. My aim for each trip is to give my clients a safe, enjoyable, and well organised experience and something they will always remember. I have photos of many of the trips at: https://www.facebook.com/simon.treks
