Sorry! Another concerned post. At MWSC we moor our boat in the middle of the lake (opposite the Crowne Plaza) When we are skiing our dinghy is there. We have had two occasions now where kids have swum to the dinghy (latest one last night), got in it and tried to start it, whilst we are skiing and the boat is actively going around the lake at speeds in excess of 34 mph!! It’s a long way! We can’t see them in the water when we are running the boat. It’s dangerous! At least two of them couldn’t swim back to the bank and we took them back in the boat. People are now trying to put paddle boards and kayaks on the lake. It’s an accident waiting to happen! If you know anyone who talks about going to the lake as it’s the place to go please talk to them about safety. It’s a private lake with private property that’s shared with MWSC and the fisherman. None of us want any accidents. Thanks so much 🙏

A reminder that Marlow Water Ski Club is private.

⚠️WARNINGS ISSUED FOR CANNABIS POSSESSION FOLLOWING TRESPASS AT WATERSKI CLUB

Following recent reports of Anti-Social Behaviour at Marlow Water-ski Club, 2 males have been spoken to and issued with Community Resolutions for possession of cannabis.

In the UK, cannabis is a 'Class B' drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, making it illegal to possess, grow, or supply without a licence. We had previously advised that patrolling would be increased at the location, with patrolling continuing to help ensure that the water-ski club and grounds are protected.

⛔ We will not tolerate ASB and will always look to deal with it swiftly and robustly.

Please educate where you can. We worry so much about safety and recently put this update out on social media.

Hi everyone, it’s that time of year again! A polite reminder that if you know anyone who likes to hang out by the lake at Marlow Waterski Club (Crowne Plaza) that this is private land. We rent the land and lake and share it with the fishermen. All of that aside, lots of rubbish left behind including empty alcohol containers and broken glass. This is a worry if they are in the water with or with or without alcohol The lake is weedy and there is no visibility - getting into trouble is very easy. Yesterday there was damage to the fence, bank and they climbed on the boat, took the cover off and tried to start it. We will be in touch with the schools and police will be stepping up visits. Paddle boards are not allowed on the lake. Please do share. Thanks very much.
