Team A.S Judo

Team A.S Judo One Team, One Family, One Team A.S Judo Classes are held at various school venues and open to children from age 5 (A.S Panda Cubs) to Adults.

Established in 2005, the A.S Judo Academy is one of the fastest growing clubs in the region, teaching over 1300 children. Under the expert guidance of Alan Scott and his team, children learn core stability, flexibility and Randori (fighting skills). There are Judo camps in school holidays, the children have great fun show remarkable talent in these classes, so why not come along and let your child see for themselves?

NEW BERKHAMSTED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 💥

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Team A.S Judo Development Programme at Berkhamsted Pre-Prep Sports Centre.

Designed specifically for students currently attending our school judo program, this session provides a clear pathway for those looking to take their judo to the next level.

Students will benefit from:

✅ Advanced technical coaching
✅ Official British Judo gradings
✅ Randori and competition preparation
✅ British Judo membership and insurance
✅ Increased confidence, discipline and resilience
✅ A pathway into our Academy and Competition Squad

TEAM A.S JUDO IS GROWING 💥

We’re excited to announce that Team A.S Judo is now running across 3 evenings every week!

📍 MONDAY – Marlow
📍 WEDNESDAY – Marlow
📍 THURSDAY – Berkhamsted

This is a huge step forward for our club and our students as we continue building one of the strongest judo pathways in the area.

From total beginners to competition players, our sessions are designed to help students grow in confidence, discipline, fitness and skill, all within a positive, hard-working team environment.

🥋 London Open Results 🥋

Another good day of experience and progress for the Team A.S Judo squad at the London Open.

Robbie Young – 🥉Bronze Medal, U42kg Pre Cadets
A very unlucky day for Robbie who finished with 1 win and 1 loss, but importantly defeated the eventual gold medallist. A strong performance and another medal added to his collection. 👏

Joshua Baines – 5th Place – U60kg Cadets
Won 1 and lost 2 tough contests. Joshua is one of our newest squad members and continues to make good progress every competition. More experience and confidence will only make him stronger.

Joshua Urie – 7th Place – U73kg Cadets
Finished with 1 win and 2 losses. Still only a first-year cadet and adjusting to a new weight category, but showed great effort and determination throughout the day. Plenty more to come from him. 🔥

Proud of all 3 players for stepping onto the mat and continuing to push themselves against strong opposition. The hard work continues.

After the incredible atmosphere and energy from our last Super Saturday, I wanted to share a quick update along with details for our next event!

The effort, attitude, and confidence shown by the students was absolutely outstanding, and it was brilliant seeing so many players stepping up, challenging themselves, and growing throughout the session!

A huge congratulations once again to Sienna Davis, who was awarded our
🏆 Super Saturday Player of the Month 🏆
for her outstanding effort and attitude on the mat 👏🏻👏🏻
