Discover Your Inner Sommelier! Join Us for a Blind Wine Tasting Evening – 9th April 2024 🍷

Marlow Tennis Club is excited to invite you to our first fun social of the year - a Blind Wine Tasting Evening at Waitrose Handy Cross.
When: Wednesday 9th April 2024
Time: 6:30pm for a 6:45pm start until 8:30pm
Where: Waitrose, Handy Cross
Price: £12 per person

During the evening, you'll taste 6-8 mystery wines, be challenged to identify key characteristics such as grape, country of origin, price, aroma, body, and flavour. The participant with the most accurate tasting notes will win a prize! Plus, you'll receive a briefing on each wine from the Waitrose wine expert.

Our annual finals day kicks off at 10am on Sunday 15th, with matches running all day until 5.30pm. So come along and watch some great tennis and support your mates. Free and open to members and non-members. The bar/BBQ opens at 3pm, and prize-giving is at approximately 5.30pm.

Marlow Tennis Club 125th Party at Oaken Grove – 12 tickets left!

The weather is on an up, we’re working on table plans, the band are tuning up and we’re counting down the days to our 125th Birthday Bash on Friday 5th July.
So would you like to join us? If so, please get your skates on and let Guy know this week by emailing [email protected]. We have just a dozen tickets @ just £30. This includes a welcome glass of wine, supper in the form of a charcuterie, cheese and fruit platter (vegetarian options are available), live music and the wonderful company of lots of our lovely members. Join us from 7pm.

MTC Town Regatta 2024 – Saturday June 15th

Our summer of 125th birthday celebrations kick off with a social gathering, buffet lunch and drinks at Marlow’s social event of the year – The Marlow Town Regatta.
Once again, we’ve secured access to the Jim Campbell Riverside Enclosure for the price of an Upper Enclosure ticket (Adults - £24, youths - £16). This allows you to wander the grounds, watch the races, visit the stalls, bars, and join us on the Marlow Tennis Club pitch (F4) close by the river. The tickets give full-day access including for the evening’s musical sets.
To join us book your Upper Enclosure tickets at the https://marlowtownregatta.org/ website, and then email Guy ([email protected]) to add your name to our list of members attending. We’ll give this list to the organisers to allow you to enter the Riverside Enclosure. The order of the day is to bring along a dish to share, some booze/drinks, chair or rug and lots of sunscreen 😊! We’ll kick off with drinks c. 12.30pm, and lunch together thereafter.

MTC’s 125th Birthday Bash – It’s Party Time! 🎈🎉

From humble beginnings at the George and Dragon pub in 1899 to becoming one of the most esteemed clubs in the county, we've come a long way, and we're ready to party like it's 1969! 😉 So, join us for a Birthday Bash on Friday 5th July at the stunning Oaken Grove Vineyard. The evening includes a welcome drink 🍷, a delicious cheese, fruit, vegetable, and charcuterie platter 🧀, and live music to Marlow-based Horizon Sixties Pop. This means that as the sun sets and the stars twinkle above, we'll groove to a mix of timeless classics from the sixties and seventies, along with some incredible original tunes 🎶.

Tickets are available until they are gone. Grab individual tickets at £30 each, or gather your friends for a table of 6 for just £180. Marlow Tennis Club's Finals Day is open to all and takes place this coming Sunday 10th September.

Court action starts at 8.30am. The Finals then take place at 10am, noon, 2pm and 4pm. With prize-giving anticipated sometime after 5.30pm.

In addition, red and orange ball junior players can join a competition that will run from 2-4pm.

Other fun goings on will include drinks and BBQ food, table tennis, croquet, and a bring and buy plant and book stall.

With the weather forecast looking excellent, please expect temperatures up to 28 degrees, so bring sun-cream and water 😎. Also extra chairs or rugs as we expect full-house!

So come on down and join in the fun, and cheer on the players.
