Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre, in Wiltshire is looking to expand our team of freelance staff for the 2026 season. Ideally we are looking for instructors qualified in Canoe, Paddleboarding, and Mountain Biking. Bushcraft, Archery, Fencing, and Air Rifle also desirable. Today we were delighted to host HRH, the Duchess of Cornwall, to mark our official reopening of the centre for group activity sessions, after lockdown. We have a packed summer ahead of us, but we are keeping group sizes small and operating at a strictly reduced capacity to maintain social distancing, and ensure the safety of our visitors.

The Duchess of Cornwall was near Marlborough today to cut the ribbon to officially re-open Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre.

Today we were joined by Pirate, Captain Plank, to do a Pirate themed Zoom webinar for children on Youth Action Wiltshire's Splash programme. We thought you at home might like to join in and have a go too!
In this video, he shows you how to draw his own Jolly Roger flag. A bit like a signature, each pirate captain had their own Jolly Roger design, so that they could be identified whilst at sea. If you would like to have a go at drawing the Captain's flag, or why not design your own, you will need some paper and pens or pencils.
