This customer hasn’t been riding for about a decade, but what a machine they’ve chosen to make their return on! We love this new Santa Cruz Vala AL in the SRAM 70 spec.

Kitted out with RockShox Zeb 160mm forks, RockShox Deluxe Select shock 205x65, SRAM 70 Transmission, SRAM DB8 brakes, Reserve Wheels, and a Bosch CX DBU38 motor with a 600wh battery. This customer also made the wise decision to add on the Purion Screen so he can see all his ranges and general information.

We love the colour he chose - Storm ringer Purple - but Lunar Grey is also available if you would prefer. Also, for those who would rather run Shimano, there is also a Shimano Deore spec.

Bike Feature: The Whyte Secta S

Today we want to feature an absolute ripper of a bike… the Whyte Secta S. Its geometry is more trail orientated and mega playful.

It has a 130mm RockShox Recon air fork, 1x10 Shimano Cues transmission with an 11-48 cassette and a 30t chainring. For brakes it has tektro two pots with 180mm rotors front and rear. It even comes with a TransX dropper post that has a drop specific to frame size.

Colour-wise, we love this orange and teal, but if that’s not your cup of tea it also comes in grey/blue.

We have a good range of sizes in store so if you want to have a sit on one or just take a look, come on down!

I think we’re going to have a very happy customer!

We have just finished building up this beautiful Bianchi Infinito with a few modifications to the original spec ready for L’Etape Du Tour 2026.

It is running the new 105 Di2 12 speed with a waxed chain. We have also upgraded the wheels to some lovely Mavic Cosmics and the tyres to some 32mm Schwalbe Ones.

Can’t lie, we’re a little jealous of the customer that gets to take this one home. Mega fast and super comfy!

Those of you who said chain waxing, you are correct!!

At the Marlborough Bike Company we are expanding the services we offer to now include chain waxing.

Zero Friction Cycling’s testing has shown that hot melt waxing is, by far, the best way to lubricate a chain that will make your chain last so much longer than any wet lubricant can. It also runs super clean! It’s not all about performance, it’s more about getting your components to last as long as possible, saving you money in the long-run. We’re going to be doing it properly by using Silca chain stripper to prep your chain, their hot melt to treat your chain and their waxing system to make sure we get the wax to the right temperature.

We’ll be offering just the chain stripping, for if you wish to do the waxing yourself; just waxing, if you have a prewaxed/prepped chain; or the full works.

Your chain is the hardest working part of the bicycle (apart from yourself) so give it the treatment it deserves. Give us a ring, or head over to the website to get your bike booked in.
