Have a new year's resolution to start a new sport? The Pathway to Golf beginners lesson programme at Marlborough Golf Club might be the answer!

A 5-week lesson course with a qualified PGA Professional coach costs just £60, which includes club hire if you do not own equipment. You will learn the basics and meet other beginners.

Applications are now being taken for courses starting in January and beyond. Apply solo or with a group of friends (up to 6 in a group), in a time slot that suits your schedule.

You are eligible for the programme if you are a complete beginner or returning to golf after a long absence and need a refresher.

Working with Dom on creating greater wrist set and reducing hip rotation and reverse pivot in the backswing. Noticeably better impact position and contact as a result. 👏🏌️‍♂️

Some great work from Darren on flattening lead arm in the backswing, resulting in much improved shaft plane at delivery ➡️ Combined with stronger clubface a high fade turned into a penetrating draw. 👏

Big downswing sequence upgrades for Chris. (Swipe ➡️) Deeper hands and greater lower body turn at the top, a more on-plane and powerful delivery position and a more neutral swing path through impact.🏌️‍♂️

Drastic improvement in plane on this basic chip shot for David. A flat backswing (left) on such a short shot will have a big influence on low point and make those flubby strikes more likely. Instead, try to set the club in a position where the club is parallel to the ball to target line (right). This will lead to more consistent contact and more control of trajectory and spin. ⛳️
