Another great (and packed!) networking session this week at Women Mean Biz Wiltshire.

Thank you to the two brilliant speakers.

One shared her personal journey into estate agency, which was really honest and refreshing.

The other focused on marketing, talking about the importance of being aligned with your audience and recognising when something feels forced or creates resistance.

I’m sharing this because it’s a good reminder that it’s easy to slip into doing things because we think we should — in business, in marketing, in how we show up.

But the real impact tends to come when things feel clear, aligned, and genuinely connect.

Always something useful to take away from this group.

How was your Valentine’s Day?

Valentine’s Day is often full of big gestures.

Some of the most meaningful conversations in a relationship happen quietly.

Money is often one of them.

It’s rarely just about figures.

It’s about feeling secure, being understood, and knowing you’re building something together.

You don’t have to agree on everything.

What matters is understanding each other, and moving forward in the same direction.

When money feels simpler, relationships often feel stronger.

How was your first full week back?

January can feel busy for many of us, and this week has been about getting back into routine and beginning to plan client catch-ups for the weeks ahead.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Are you climbing the wrong ladder?

So many of us work hard to climb — chasing the next rung, the next title, the next goal.

But it’s easy to forget to look up and check whether the ladder’s leaning against the right wall.

Ladder thinking is about perspective — pausing long enough to ask:

Is the effort I’m putting in taking me somewhere I actually want to go?

Am I climbing because it’s right for me, or because it’s what everyone else does?

Sometimes the bravest move isn’t climbing higher — it’s moving your ladder entirely.

Thank you to everyone at Wiltshire Women Mean Biz
for being so engaging and welcoming this week.

I jumped in last minute to deliver the Member of the Month spotlight and loved sharing more about my business and getting out and about.

Proper face-to-face connection always gives me a lift. There’s something about thoughtful conversation that sparks ideas and reminds you why being around ambitious, curious people matters.

A special thank you to Bonnie Grotjahn, who delivered a fabulous talk on boundaries and how to implement them, she shared some really useful insights that I have taken away.

Who doesn’t love a bit of merch?

New Jensen Wealth Management goodies have just landed, and yes, we’re unreasonably excited about them.

It turns out financial planning feels 20% more inspiring when you’re holding a branded pen (scientifically unproven, but we’re going with it).

Who decided that money makes you worthy?

We live in a world that claps louder for the person with the bigger house, the nicer car, the shinier story.

And yet, we rarely ask where that wealth came from.

It could be inheritance, luck, timing, or years of sacrifice behind the scenes.

But still, we attach envy and a strange kind of status to the image. So often, the chase for more isn’t really about money.

It’s about wanting to be seen. To be valued. To feel enough.

There’s nothing wrong with having nice things, there are some big wealthy things on my want list. And it’s important that we celebrate people who reach their true goals.

But it’s worth pausing to ask:

Do I want this because it’s mine or because I think it will finally make me enough?

This week I swapped the office for Cumberwell Park for a women’s charity day in support of Julia’s House.

The charity do incredible work for children with life limiting conditions and their families, and the charity means so much to me.

A huge thank you to Lisa Parmley Mortgage Management
for organising an uplifting day of fun and fundraising in a beautiful setting.

It's a good reminder that networking is not just boardrooms. It is community, conversation and doing something that matters together.

If you haven't heard of Julia's House Children's Hospice, then take a look here at the incredible work they do: https://www.juliashouse.org/.

Tomorrow is National Boss’s Day, and here is my best boss stance.😉

It’s a funny one when you’re your own boss. On the one hand, there’s the freedom and responsibility that comes with steering a business. On the other, there’s the reality that you’re also accountable for everything — the vision, the team, the decisions, and the outcomes.

For me, co-founding Jensen Wealth Management with Chris and running Rachel Jensen Money has been one of the biggest lessons in leadership.

We’ve built something that’s grounded in trust and relationships, and we’ve learned to balance different strengths and perspectives along the way.

Being a “boss” isn’t just about titles or hierarchy. It’s about:

• Setting a clear direction.
• Making tough decisions with integrity.
• Bringing people along with you — clients, colleagues, and partners.
• Constantly learning, adapting, and growing.

I’m proud of the journey so far.

Here’s to all the bosses out there — whether you lead a team of 100 or you’re steering your own ship.

Over the last few weeks I’ve seen quite a few posts celebrating and promising their clients £15K months and six-figure years. And while I love seeing women win, I also know these headlines don’t always tell the whole story.

I believe in talking about money and celebrating each other when we hit a goal — but I don’t believe in the endless stream of posts promising overnight wins.

Not everyone is going to hit £15K months or six figures in a year. And that doesn’t make them less successful.

Wealth isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some people, it’s all about the numbers. For others, it’s the time, freedom or security money creates.

The problem is when money becomes the only marker of worth. When people are sold quick wins, jump from course to course, and end up feeling like failures when the “formula” doesn’t work.

You’ll never see me selling that dream. Because building wealth — real, lasting wealth — takes time, clarity and consistency. And it gets to look different for each of us.
