Part of ME SPORTS, The Matt Elliott Football Development Scheme is set up to enhance the development of young footballers at grass roots level in Leicestershire. With a number of centres, open sessions and SoccerTots activities throughout the county, we provide top quality coaching for children of all abilities and experience, ranging right through from 2 to 16 years old, headed by Leicester City

Our Development Centres, Girls Academies and Goalkeeping Academies are set up as additional tuition for young footballers to receive extra skills and technique based coaching that will not conflict with their club activity. Our centres and academies are membership based with academy discipline and our children get the opportunity to partake in representative fixtures against local clubs, development centres and professional club academies. We also host open sessions at venues throughout the county which are fun based sessions for boys and girls from 5-14yrs. These activities provide a great source of fitness, fun and social sporting development and are commitment free being run on a pay-as-you-go basis and flexible to children's availability. In 2014, we set up our SoccerTots sector and we now run seven different tots sessions each week at different venues in Leicestershire. These are designed for those that are fed up of being told that their children cannot partake in football activities until they turn 5 years old. Our SoccerTots sessions are for 2, 3 and 4 year old boys and girls to learn and practice fundamental balance, ball skills and basic football techniques at an early age whilst having lots of fun and enhancing their social development through sport. These have become very popular! In every school holiday period we run holiday camps, single days and football activities for children to take part in during their breaks from school terms. Our vastly qualified and hugely experienced coaches can also be hired by parents for one-to-one sessions, both outfield orientated or goalkeeping at a very reasonable cost. We are also hired regularly by local clubs, schools, colleges, nurseries and independent organisations to deliver football sessions to suit their specific needs and budget restrictions.
