As we continue to grow and strengthen our club, we remain committed to our core rugby values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship. As a family-friendly club, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all ages and abilities, with a strong focus on community spirit and player development.

What a day for the Vixens at today’s IWS tournament!

We kicked things off at 3pm against Southwell, who came out determined on home soil. It took us a little time to settle into the game, but Meg broke through to score the only try - a real credit to Southwell’s strong defensive effort throughout.

After finding our rhythm in the first match, we faced Lincoln/Gainsborough next. The Vixens meant business, with tries from Meg, Mollie, Charlotte, Rosie, and Georgie, all successfully converted by Abi for a perfect kicking record. It was a fantastic team performance, putting everything we’ve been working on in training into action, and we came away with a 35–0 win.

A huge thank you to both teams - we’ve had a brilliant day of rugby, and it’s great to see everyone’s progression!

What a day for rugby yesterday! 💚❤️🏉🌞

We were proud to take part in the Women’s Inner Warrior Development League fixture hosted at Grimsby RUFC, marking their first women’s home game in 2 years and what a brilliant occasion it was!

First up, the Vixens linked up with Grimsby to face a combined Lincoln Rugby Club / Gainsborough Rugby Club side. It was a competitive battle from the first whistle, but the hard work paid off as we secured a 12–7 win!

Straight off the back of that game, the Vixens went again - this time against Southwell Rugby Club and delivered another strong performance taking their second win of 17–0.

The third and final game kicked off between Southwell and Lincoln/Gainsborough, and what a way to finish, a great battle between two teams with securing their first win with a final score of 15-5.

After a frustrating start to the year with weather putting a halt to games and training, we were absolutely overjoyed to be back out playing rugby again.

Days like this remind us why we love the sport so much.

It’s incredible to see the growth and development of all the teams involved.

Here’s to many more game days to come!
