Market Rasen Netball Leagues

I’m delighted to welcome on board Amy Stewart to our management team for the week to week running of the Market Rasen league.

Amy is an incredibly enthusiastic netball individual who was recently nominated for a host of awards in the recent Yorkshire Netball One awards including Unsung Hero of the Year, Coach of the Year and Community Official of the Year. Amy has helped to establish North Ferriby Netball Club, umpires two “Netball Leagues” in Anlaby, Hull, runs a successful Back to Netball session whilst managing a full time job also! Wow!

Amy will be your intermediate for communication - both players and umpires - and will help manage the leagues going forward. Michael will continue to oversee and will still be available. Amy’s vast experience of playing, umpiring and coaching will make her an ideal asset for overall structure, answering questions and providing solutions in quick time.

Amy and I will both be visiting the league this Tuesday so you can put a face to the name and contact details will be provided privately in the very near future to team captains following a period of training for Amy later this month.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in welcoming Amy to the team in what will be an excellent addition. 🙌🏻🏐

Please note that due to essential maintenance on the sports hall floor, the league will not be able to run on Tuesday 10 October, therefore these fixtures have been cancelled and moved to the end of the season.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. 🏐

Just a note to all. It’s been an excellent season again, thank you. Due to the summer holidays and with the centre closed on the 22nd we have decided to break for the 15th and the 22nd August before returning for a new season on the 29th August.

As usual, if captains below can specify their ideal rest week dates below over the next couple of months including your team name we will do our best to accommodate these when the fixtures are compiled.

Fixtures for the new season have now been released.

Please be aware ONLY the first week of the season has been sorted - Tuesday 28th March

We will then break for Easter for 2 weeks - 4th and 11th March and return for the 18th. In this time I will sort all the remaining fixtures for the rest of the season so the times and bye weeks are correct.

For transparency- even for the teams who have kindly messaged me direct - can you pop below your preferences for bye weeks and I’ll ensure we do our very best to accommodate you.

Our current Market Rasen Netball League ends this evening and what a season it has been! Hopefully you have all checked in weekly to our website to see the summary of the matches in our “Latest News” section.

We start a new season NEXT WEEK but will break for two weeks over Easter meaning NO GAMES on April 4th and 11th, returning to action on Tuesday April 18th.

If there are any particular Tuesdays your team requires off please message the page or Michael on 07341810083 after this evening and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

With a new Market Rasen Netball season starting this evening we want to say congratulations to Wold Warriors on their triumph last season!
