Dear Alex, BCKA and every martial artist I met.
As I prepare to take my next steps beyond BCKA, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you. This journey has been about so much more than learning techniques or earning belts — it has been a journey of discipline, humility, respect, and self-discovery.
From the first day I walked into class, you welcomed me with patience and belief. You challenged me when I needed to be challenged, encouraged me when I struggled, and reminded me to keep showing up — even on the days when progress felt slow.
Every correction, every round of sparring, every bow on and off the mat carried lessons far beyond martial arts. You taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of focus, and the quiet strength that comes from respect and humility. Those lessons will stay with me in everything I do.
To my instructors Alex, Dave, Tim to mention some— thank you for your guidance, your wisdom, and your example. To my fellow students — thank you for your friendship, support, and the countless shared hours of training and laughter.
Leaving BCKA is not easy, but I carry with me the spirit of what you’ve all taught me. The lessons learned here will continue to shape who I am — as a martial artist, and as a person.
I would like to share an important decision about the next chapter of my martial arts journey. After much reflection, I have decided to continue walking the Martial Arts path with renewed purpose and dedication. Martial arts have given me strength, discipline, and a deep sense of balance, and I now wish to share these values with others.
With that goal in mind, I am planning to establish a non-profit association dedicated to teaching Kick Boxing and Kung Fu to people in need. This initiative will focus on making martial arts training accessible to those who may not have the means to afford it — especially youth, underprivileged individuals, and anyone seeking personal growth through discipline and physical fitness.
My vision is to create a safe and encouraging environment where students can develop not only their physical skills but also their confidence, respect, and inner strength. The association will operate purely for community benefit, without profit motives, and will embody the true spirit of martial arts — self-improvement, respect, and service.
I am now in the process of planning the structure and outreach of the association, and I welcome any advice, support, or partnership from those who share a similar passion.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to carrying on this meaningful journey and making a positive difference through martial arts.
Thank you for everything.
