Back at it this week with a gentle lead in to the New Year teaching on Zoom at the beginning of the week (followed by in person this morning).
Last year I taught close to 160 classes on Zoom, more or less only on Zoom until July 2021. Now I still teach 2 online classes per week, alongside the face to face classes.
Being able to teach online throughout the lockdowns was amazing, you could still reach people, get them moving and allow them that time for themselves on the mat at a safe distance.
They are still popular, some people are not keen to be in class just yet, things feel uncertain and they'd rather not take the risk mixing for Pilates, Zoom is a good option.
Others find that logistically due to maybe distance or work, Zoom works well. They can take their hour on the mat to move and then easily dip back to other commitments without the travel. In this era of needing to isolate, it's also useful for those that temporarily need to stay home.
If you've done classes on Zoom, what was the most valuable thing about it for you? What did you appreciate? What element did you find perhaps not so good?!
