Yesterday we held our final club competition of the season, the Handicap singles knockout. After a good turnout and a brief weather scare it was Andy Watkiss who battled through the field beating Martin Moore in the final. In the Consolation cup it was Andy Wilson who beat Ange Watkiss. Congratulations to both winners!

Commiserations to our seniors team who just fell short in todays Eric Dobson Doubles final. You all gave it your best but it just wasn't meant to be. Congratulations Adderley Bowling Club on your victory.

Good luck to our seniors team tomorrow as they go into battle for glory against Adderley in the Eric Dobson doubles final. Anyone wishing to cheer on the team tomorrow the final is being held at Tilstock BC from 11am.

A couple of big games coming up over the next few weeks for the club. Firstly, the Whitchurch A team reached the Jubilee doubles semi finals earlier this week with victory over District B team at Tilstock. The reward for that is a huge tie against current Whitchurch division 1 leaders and Premier league side Adderley A. Match to be played Wednesday 26th August, venue tbc. Secondly the Market Drayton seniors team are through to the final of the Eric Dobson doubles where they will also play against the mighty Adderley A. Match to be played from 11am at Tilstock on Thursday 10th Sept. Good luck to both teams! 👊

A big congratulations to our very own Richard Swire for defending the Vera Key singles titles against Mark Faulkner in the final. Also a big congratulations to Andy Watkiss who won the consolation cup final against Sam Burnham. A big thanks to everyone who took part and helped out today.
