Drowning Prevention Week has been a huge success and all of our little swimmers headed home with some fantastic new water safety skills… and thankfully, everyone made it back safely! 🏊‍♂️

The same can’t be said for everyone’s clothes, though… 🩳

Our lost property pile has grown faster than the queue for ice creams on a sunny day, and we’ve got an impressive collection of mystery items waiting to be reunited with their owners. 👀

If you spot something familiar in the photo, please pop down to the centre and rescue it before we have enough stock to launch our own clothing collection! 😂

Due to overwhelming demand, we're thrilled to be adding an extra AquaFit class to our timetable! 💦

Starting Wednesday 24th June, you can join us every week at from 9.30am – 10am for a fun, energising workout in the pool.

Our Aquafit classes have been making waves, and we can't wait to welcome even more of you into the pool! 🏊‍♀️

Bookings open at 7am 10 days in advance for members or 7 days in advance for non-members, so be quick as spaces are limited! 📲

🌊 Drowning Prevention Week is coming, and at Market Drayton Swimming and Fitness Centre we're proud to support this vital campaign that helps raise awareness of water safety and the importance of learning lifesaving skills.

Every year, accidental drownings have a devastating impact on families and communities. The good news is that many of these tragedies can be prevented through education, awareness, and learning to swim.

Swimming is not just a fun activity – it's an essential life skill. Whether you're a child taking your first lessons or an adult looking to build confidence in the water, learning how to stay safe in and around water can make all the difference.

During Drowning Prevention Week, we encourage everyone to:

We were delighted to welcome schools from across North East Shropshire to Market Drayton for this year's School Swimming Gala! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Congratulations to all the pupils from Market Drayton Junior School , Whixall CE Primary School and Nursery , Prees CE Primary School and Nursery , Moreton Say Church of England Primary School & Nursery , Adderley C of E Primary School & Nursery and Tilstock CE Primary School and Nursery for taking part and achieving some fantastic times in the pool. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, determination and team spirit throughout the event.

A huge thank you to Rachael Handley for her excellent organisation, and to all the parents, teachers and staff whose support helped create such a positive and encouraging atmosphere on the day.

We're proud to support school sport and provide opportunities for young people to develop their swimming skills, build confidence and enjoy friendly competition.

A special thank you to Zoggs UK for kindly supplying the goodie bags for all our participants – they were very much appreciated by the swimmers! 🎁
