Our 100% win record in the league continues. Gaffer Mike and the eagles were over the moon at full time!

Captain Dan led the boys out to a comfortable victory in the end. The first half we was slow to play our football, a solid free kick from the opposition see them go 1-0 up early on. However if there’s one thing that the eagles have learned it’s how to respond not long after some comfortable play see speed demon Jacob in the box brought down by the opposition keeper. A penalty that Johnno slotted home well.

The 2nd half is when the eagles really came into the game with some outstanding organisation from defence all the way to attack. Our 2nd goal came when Pete decided to channel his inner David beckham whipping in a beautiful ball curling away from the goalkeeper with the ever ready George at the back stick ready to head home.

From there it was control, control, control. Monumental performances from both Dan and Cotty see them share the MOTM award, we came close to seeing an absolute thunderstrike go bottom corner from Cotty but sadly it struck the post. The last goal of the game came from that man George again, smelling blood he hunted the ball down pounced on a defensive mistake, toile it round the keeper and passed into an empty net. Another weekend another win and smiles all round.

Well done Elsea Park Eagles ! What a result

Well well well.

What a start to the season!

For once as we met up for a kick about the rain was nowhere to be seen, the eagles basked in the glorious sunshine followed by a glut of goals.

The Eagles set up to defend their nest for our first home game. The game was controlled well by the eagles as fizzing passes glided across the pitch, early on the deadlock was broken with a rare headed goal from the ever-gorgeous Waterfall, assisted by almost as pretty Wilkin. Our attackers and midfield relentlessly pressed the shaky back “4” of Cardea leading to a sublime top corner finesse shot by Toby ironically assisted by himself rewarding his high press.

The electric Lewis Bradley came on towards the end of the first half and topped it off with a ferocious goal that even Premier League players would say was “half decent” assisted by Waterfall.

Second half began and the eagles continued their fantastic display with elegance control and discipline, those words are used to describe our running engine Scotty rewarding him with a fantastic goal! Assisted by his fitness, this was followed by a slight mistake from the eagles a lapse in concentration led to the away team scoring straight from a corner! But this didn’t deter the Eagles we responded immediately from kick off with a blistering run down the line from waterfall assisting the hungry Matty dale who slotted home a tidy finish.

Some more could have been had by us however certain players didn’t understand that it was football we was playing and not rugby with questionable efforts soaring over the bar, but nonetheless an absolutely fantastic performance from the Eagles to start the season.
