I'm pleased to be able to open up my diary for after school tutoring once again. As you know , I have a wealth of experience with preparation for the Kent Test or KS2 SATS. I tutor small groups, 1-2- 1 either at your or my home, via Zoom or a public venue.

Prices and appointments available on request;

I have spaces Monday, Wed or Thursday between 4pm and 6pm and Saturday mornings 10am- 12pm.

My dear friend Melanie Osborn ran a Wellness evening at her lovely new business Violet's. Her husband Kevin Megson was curious at what Pilates entailed so we had a go.

Violet's is lovely and I'm hoping to run a class there soon.

I'm writing an EdD on how community art impacts upon marginalised children and their familes and keep getting asked if I'm an artist so thought I should at least have a go !

I think I'm alright at it !!!!

Don't forget I'm offering online tutoring both group and 1 to 1 from September.

Here is the intended schedule for the Zoom classes I will be offering;

4pm Monday: KS2 Reading Comprehension

5pm Monday: KS2 Writing and SPAG

4pm Tuesday: KS3 Humanities

5pm Tuesday : 11+ preperation

4pm Wednesday : The four maths operations

5pm Wednesday: Word Problems for Year 4, 5

4pm Thursday : Year 6 Booster groups and

5pm Thursday : GCSE English

Classes will be held on Zoom and will last about 50 mins for the cost of £10 per class.

I am happy to start these sessions from next week August 11th.

Timetable may change in September due to general demand.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Karen.

I moved to Thanet in 2022 and have been working as a Teaching Assistant until recently. I am a qualified teacher but wanted a slower pace of life so have decided to expand my tutoring business.

I have been tutoring since 2009 and have helped so many children to pass their GCSEs, SATS or 11+.

From the end of August , I will be continuing to offer 1:1 but also running online sessions for small groups and also running small groups locally. I still have to work out a timetable but letting you know so I can gauge interest.

Just to let everyone know that I am job hunting.

I've put up these posts before and have been inundated with "why don't you try ..." but trust me I have tried most things!

I have applied for numerous jobs and have had numerous rejections so waitressing, working in care homes, office jobs, pyramid selling or supermarkets aren't an option.

As most of you know, I am a qualified teacher and am writing a doctorate so this, so my age and life history, play a huge part in job rejections..

I'd love to run a children's bookshop locally or grow my tutoring business so wonder if any one has advice on how to do this....I have tried SEK Kent but the consultant said she just thought I was very lonely and needed to find more friends/ hobbies/ a husband!!!!!

Anyway, look forward to useful advice all not likes and you'll be OK thank you !!!!

Class cancelled for tonight

am pleased to say that I will be running a taster Pilates class at Westgate United Services Club at 7pm this Wednesday 9th July. Please bring your own mat and spaces are limited.

£10 on the night or £7.50 if you pay in advance by BACs.

This is a trial and will only continue to run if I get enough people attend.

See you there ! You must let me know and I can only save a space if you prepay
