Sunday FAT Karting League World Finals 2025 🌎 Willow Springs International Raceway

p1 in Group E for Sunday meant p3 starts for myself for the finals.

Final 1:p3 📈 p1 🏆

Final 2:p3 ➡️ p3(otr) 🟣

Final 3:p3📉 p7

Started the day off well with a win in the 1st Final, ran a good race in the 2nd but got awarded a harsh penalty, in the 3rd Final I got up to 2nd and challenged for the lead but lost out as others capitalised on our fight.

Final result P4 - just missing the podium by a smidge.

I'd like to thank my mum Sally Sparrow and Callum Black for their support this weekend and whilst we didn't get the exact result wanted, it was certainly a fun and enjoyable experience.

Well done to my UK colleagues Ellis Mackenzie for winning junior lights and to Monde Konini for 2nd in junior heavies.

GyG 💔 Rd7 of the FAT Karting League

Saturday- got comfortable with the circuit, topping the 1st and last sessions in the rain whilst always being at the front

Sunday
Practice- P1 🟣
Qualifying-P3
Pre-Final-P3 ➡️ P3 (P6) after track limits
Final-P6📈P1 (P5) after drop down 😔

A strong race in the final saw myself cross the line first. However, a drop down sustained at the start of the race eradicated the win.

A very frustrating feeling after this weekend, having lost out on potentially key points in the championship (15in total)

However, there are still plenty of points up for grabs at Whilton Rd8 on the 4th/5th of October

As we are now well into September, I thought I would update you on how my summer went.

After the glorious but frustrating second place in the Buckmore 24 Hour race I went straight into more concentrated GCSE revision as my exams started in May.

I managed to get to Round 3 of FAT Karting League at Ellough Park before the exams started and secured my first win this season!

After my GCSEs finished I celebrated with my friends as well as taking on some gardening work locally.

I took another win in Round 4 of FAT Karting league at Red Lodge, boosting my points.

My FKL colleague Albert Henriksson-Bell kindly invited me to the Goodwood Festival of Speed where we had a great day.

For holidays, I went to the west coast of Wales with my Dad and then had an epic cycling holiday with my Mum Sally Sparrow FRSA in Slovenia where we visited Lake Bled, walked around the lake, through a gorge, paddle boarded then cycled over three days to Ljubljana.

I was extremely happy with my GCSE results and secured more than the criteria to continue my studies at Maidstone Grammar School in the sixth form. I am studying A-Level History, English, Geography and Media Studies.

I have also spent a lot of time with my SIM, honing my skills in various series.

Looking to the autumn, we are at the pointy end of the FAT Karting League Championship.

Sat 20/Sun 21 September Round 7 GYG

Sat 4/Sun 5 October Round 8 Whilton Mill

Sat 15/16 November Round 9 Buckmore Park

I am sitting second in the championship, 20 points behind the current leader. FAT adopted F1 style points so it is all to play for. I need to get to the front to secure maximum possible points every time in these last three rounds.

I have done enough to secure a place at the FAT World Finals in Los Angeles this December as FAT are taking the top 12 drivers from every category. This will be an incredible event. I am really looking forward to travel, to drive the US FAT Karts, meet the US drivers and their families and of course – RACE!
