I have been personal training in this facility since it opened in 2013 and am continuing to successfully aid clients in achieving their personal goals. Through achieving my own goals I've gained experience and passion for training and helping others do the same. I specialise in calisthenics which is a form of body weight training suitable for all abilities. It enables you to engage your core, stre

ngthen your body and increase flexibility. This form of training will allow you to reach your goals through methods and exercises that are attainable to everyone, no matter your level of strength and fitness. I can also create training programmes for weight loss and nutrition as well as an overall fitness regime. I've helped clients achieve goals from Tough Mudder to running a marathon to fitting into a wedding dress. I'm friendly, fun and approachable, so whatever your goals may be feel free to see me for a free consultation and introductory session!

As a personal trainer I feel ashamed I ever let my myself get into this shape. But as I tell my clients we are not training for the olympics it's ok to take time off. The picture on the left was taken in August 2016, a week after I got back from my third holiday in the space of 5 months. Although I don't regret any of it I find it hard to miss a gym session as a lot of 'gym rats' do. Now it's April 2017 and I'm off to Australia for another holiday and I've been mostly sticking to a strict diet plan for about 12 weeks, I still allow my self binge days here and there because I love food too much not to treat myself. No im not but I'm happy i feel good and my energy levels are great and this is easily maintainable throughout the year not like these stupid no carb no sugar no fun diets.

Body weight workshop Starting Tuesday the 2nd of may every Tuesday at 5:30pm and Saturday 11am.

If you're interested in Calisthenics or just want to learn the perfect press up this is the class for you.

We will be learning step by step the techniques needed to perform all types of body weight exercises from push ups and squats to muscle ups and handstands.

Tuesday will be a slightly more advanced class but I highly recommend attending both to truly advance your strength and skills.

The great thing about body weight exercises is everyone can get involved.

Benefits include: improved strength, muscle definition, flexibility, core strength and it looks fricking awesome 💪

£40 for a 6 week course.
2nd and 6th of may will be free entry to try and see if it's the class for you.

Body weight workshop (Calisthenics 101)

Teaching you everything from push ups and squats to muscle ups and handstands.

What are the basic calisthenics exercises you will have to start with?

Various pull-ups – This workout is essential to strengthen your back and arms, and secondary muscles such as your abs and shoulders.

Pushups – This exercise will build a strong chest and triceps, and secondary muscles like shoulders.

Squats – To strengthen your legs.

Various dips – This workout is responsible to strengthen your whole upper-body.

Ab exercises – There are several body weight abdominal exercises. Having a strong core is crucial for calisthenics.

I will be running two classes every week, if interested please contact me with times that work for you. I will try and find the best time that suits everyone.

Sam has also just finished his 3 month journey with me 💪 He had a starting weight of 93.1kg and is now 86.1kg 🎉🎉 Not as big of a weight loss as Laura but his training was more weight based, but can still see a massive change to his body. Sam can also now run a 8 min mile plus he's squatting and benching 40kg for reps. It may not seem like much but 3 months ago was his first time in a gym 😳 Just goes to show what you can achieve with the right guidance and determination 💪🎉

Laura's 3 month weight loss / healthy lifestyle journey has come to and end and I couldn't be happier for her. Starting weight was 86.5kg and she's lost a massive 15.9kg and is now 70.6kg 🎉🎉 laura can now run a 8min mile and is on her way to smashing 10 full press ups 💪 this is just the start, I can't wait to see where she will be next year!
