The club entered thirteen crews in all, with the first win coming from the Women Masters in Kensa, with a powerhouse display of strength and tenacity as they ground down and passed Salcombe’s crew in Bolt with a few hundred metres to go, with last year’s winner Falmouth placing third.

The next medal winning display was from the Women’s Vets crew who fought tooth and nail with their historic rivals Falmouth and Caradon to split the two into first and third place to clinch a well deserved silver.

The Senior races over the rest of the weekend saw a 9th place for the hard-working Women’s A crew, while the Men were also high up the standings with 15th place, all the more laudable for both crews considering they had already rowed three hard Veterans races the night before.

The revelation of the weekend, however, were the contenders for the new Under 25’s category, which was won in a dominant fashion by our newly formed Women’s Under 25 crew, who won their category 29 places over nearest competitors, St Mary’s in Tregarthens and Falmouth in Black Rock over a series of four races. Our Under 25s Men’s crew mixed it up in a highly competitive Open category to claim an outstanding bronze medal to second placed Newquay in Toby, with the top spot taken by local boat Tregarthens from St Mary’s.

All crews demonstrated that hard work, tenacity and teamwork pays off. We couldn’t be more proud of them all!
