🏏 CLIPSTONE CC WEEKEND RESULTS 🏏

It was a busy weekend for Clipstone Cricket Club with three sides in action, producing some excellent individual performances and a fantastic win for the Second XI and Sunday XI.

🏏 FIRST XI – UNLUCKY DEFEAT

The First XI put in a battling performance against Collingham CC, but ultimately fell just short, losing by 7 wickets.

Clipstone were bowled out for 132 in 46.2 overs, with Said Chauhan top scoring with 47 and Hemings Patel adding a valuable 25.

Collingham chased down the target, finishing on 133/3 in 29.5 overs.

A disappointing result for the lads.

🏏 SECOND XI – 10-WICKET WIN! 🔥

A superb performance from the Second XI saw Clipstone cruise to a 10-wicket victory over Bawtry with Everton.

After restricting Bawtry to 118/9 from their 40 overs, the Clipstone openers made light work of the chase.

Dale Sheppard smashed an unbeaten 71*, supported brilliantly by Nathan Flowers with 36*, as Clipstone raced to 122/0 in just 18.1 overs.

With the ball, Matt Lowe (2/18), Nathan Flowers (2/18) and Craig Brittlebank (2/12) were among the wickets in an excellent bowling effort.

A dominant all-round performance from the Second XI! 👏💚

🏏 SUNDAY XI – 43-RUN VICTORY! 💪

The Sunday XI rounded off the weekend in style with a 43-run victory over Clumber Park CC.

Clipstone posted a strong 190/9 from their 40 overs, with Dale Sheppard leading the way with an excellent 62.

The bowlers then produced a superb display to dismiss Clumber Park for 147 all out in 31 overs.

Ollie Williams returned excellent figures of 4/23, while Eaden Cox claimed 3/18 to help seal a convincing Clipstone victory.

🏏 THE 2026 SEASON IS COMING TO AN END! 🏏

It’s the final game of the season for the 1st XI, who head away to Collingham CC for an 11:30am start.

The lads are pushing hard to finish the season in the Top 5 — so let’s get behind them for one final push! 💪

Meanwhile, the 2nd XI stay at home for the last time this season, welcoming Bawtry with Everton for their penultimate game of the campaign.

With everything still to play for and a title still up for grabs, it promises to be another big afternoon of cricket! 🔥🏆
