This year has been a hectic one to say the least,

from finally admitting to myself that I need help and finally investing in my self with a business coach early on this year and extending into therapy to help my mental health as a result of doing some self discovery and realising I’m in my own way..

As someone with high functioning adhd (clinically diagnosed before you self diagnosed cock-wombles try coming at me) 🤣

before this year i had never been coached or hired a coach, this transition was challenging to say the least 😅

But I stuck with it and I managed to elevate myself and business to a point where I’m sharing a room with people in the industry that I never thought I would, I live and work on my terms instead of life happening and me just reacting accordingly and I’m all the better for it..

When I think back, it’s been a great fu***ng year..

Hands down my toughest year yet but it’s been fu***ng great!

Another winning week for the tribe 💃🏼

Two different goals, two different paths and two different people with the same outcome;

Confidence is at an all time high ⬆️

Mental toughness and resilience at its highest yet ⬆️

Now they’re excited for EVERY session 💃🏼

A personalised plan helped get them started, stacking up undeniable proof that they’re stronger and more capable than what they think is what built their confidence and on the days where it’s hardest, still turning up regardless and putting the work in, that’s how mental toughness is developed,

do what you said you would when you said it. Regardless of how you feel ⚡️

Each persons journey is different but the outcome is always the same, they want to be their best version.

I have a confession to make;

Prior to joining the JB tribe Mikhaela had ZERO weightlifting experience, never dared venture into the weights section and stayed within her comfort zone on the cardio equipment.

When Mikhaela and I first sat down 2 months ago she opened up and expressed her frustrations,

Fed up of pouring her heart and soul into trying to eat the “right foods” and knowing what “fat burning exercises” are best and not getting out what she put in..

Fast forward 2 months;

There’s always more to a transformation than just the physical weight loss, their relationship with food or even themselves for that matter, exercise ex*****on, balancing rest and recover

so far we’ve managed to correct her course and set her on a path that yields more return on investment and supports her more leaving her with less stress and overwhelm, which opened up more time and energy for the important things in life..

Before/struggle;
- Juggling shift work in the NHS 🚑
- Low self esteem and body confidence 🙁
- Up and own relationship with food📉
- Exercising purely to burn calories 👎🏻
- Absolutely drained alllll the time

After/Solution;
- built a program that suits and supports HER 💃🏼
- Focus on building mental resilience and stacking up undeniable proof to back it up 🧠
(that’s the only way to improve confidence - do s**t when you say you’ll do it)

- How to get the most out of HER exercises/training 🏋🏻‍♀️
- better manages her eating habits, discovered she doesn’t need to restrict foods and starve herself to get the best results 🍽️
- Doing more than ever and feeling better for it 🙌🏼

Now;
- Almost 23 inches put in the bin 🗑️
- Over 10lbs lighter - a couple of lbs away from her all time lightest weight scale⚖️
- Apprehension turned into excitement and drive for more
- Confidence isn’t done climbing yet!

also… she managed to accomplish all this with 2 holidays in 2 months.

In the meantime,

Here’s an example of what happens in JB Health and fitness,

Before;
- no clear plan or direction
- overweight and overwhelmed
- low confidence and even lower self esteem

Simple does not mean easy;
read that again!

We made a plan; that turned into a routine; which became a lifestyle change..

Along the way we made slight tweaks to her programming and diet help streamline her progress further

While Mitigating; stress, overwhelm, burn out and the hectic schedule of a mum of 3

So we did just that and this is what unfolded in a matter of months

After;
- over 10kg of body fat thrown in the bin
- over 40 inches down
- more confidence and self esteem than ever!!

Whether it’s easy or hard, now is the best time to start 🤘🏼

My target for this year was/is to add mass to the legs

5 months between photos

2 months ish with the big dawg 🙌🏼

Honestly didn’t think I’d come along that much but wow,

It’s nice for the aesthetics to finally match the feeling

I’m lifting the most I’ve lifted

The best I’ve moved in a long time

At first (I won’t lie) I struggled MASSIVELY with losing my abs but now I’m getting used to carrying a little fluff and I’m here for what it brings!

Not bad for a fast-metabolised skinny kid 🤞🏽

Looking forward to see we can add 😈

Emer is absolutely dominating her start to the year! 🚀

Just before the new year we had a chat,

Feeling frustrated with things getting in the way;

Work commitments 👩‍💻

Social events 👯‍♀️

Time 🕰️

Yo-Yo type progress..🪀

After much thinking,

Emer decided she was going to do something she hadn’t done before,

Fully commit, fully invest and absolutely take accountability of her actions,

“Deciding to not make a decision, is still making a decision” - by actively choosing not to make that change you rob yourself.

Confidence in your ability and accountability can only be improved by consistently keeping your word to yourself,

Do what you said you was going to,

Do it when you said you would,

So what if it’s not perfect, it’s a start!

YOU WILL GET BETTER!

Emer is a physical manifestation of that 🔥

Before, she was waiting, analysing, expecting the right time to just jump out and slap her..

The best time is right now.

2 months in to the new way of living and she’s over 10lbs down;

❌ no gimmick food plan,

❌ No ridiculous deficit,

❌ No 4 hour gym sessions and killer cardio workouts

Simply just;

✅ more effective decision making

✅ streamlined nutrition

✅ optimised workout efficiency

We’re on the biggest win streak yet,

I couldn’t be prouder!

Cheeky check in with myself, 78kg as of this morning which brings relief

Feels nice to be back up to a comfortable weight again

After the operation I had a few wobbles regarding my right Lat,

I couldn’t fully utilise it and get any decent connection through it.

After a few months of perseverance and seeing through the mission I’m actually chuffed with the progress.

As minor as it may seem..
and there’s plenty more work to be done, obviously 😂

Finally have a quality connection so I’m looking forward to the upcoming months of training and seeing what can be achieved,

Time to grow some wings 🪽

How can I not share this absolute banger! 💃🏼

over 8kg down and almost 10 inches lost!
Read that again…

Last week we agreed to focus on a couple things for quick wins as we knew what she was getting in to,

hydration has made a colossal impact on her energy and decision making. (And a few more trips to the loo 😂) By consistently drinking those 4 litres of water daily, it’s given her a boost in her general mood, mindset and overall vitality.

(Hydration plays more of an important role than you think)

Even through challenging circumstances like deciding to leaving a job of 20+ years and dealing with two funerals, The focus on wellbeing and fitness with structured training and targets set for outside of the gym has become a powerful tool on her belt. allowing her to channel stress and find a more constructive, beneficial outlets.

Fully committing to gym sessions has developed into a healthier mindset, helping her navigate day-to-day challenges with improved strength and confidence.

Our approach from the start was to challenge and stimulate a positive response. With a tailored aim between physical challenge and mental stimulation it has not only improved her physically but also provided accomplishment and growth along the way.
(it’s too easy to focus on the negatives)

Mel created this new found focus on her own with help and support along the way which in turn has played a crucial role in her ability to mentally deal with challenges.

In summary, Our approach was intended to empower Mel not only to achieve physical health but also fortifying mental resilience.

The gym has become a sanctuary where Mel finds release and empowerment, The craziest thing is we’re only 4 weeks in! 💃🏼

That’s right,
2kg and 2.3 inches per week!

Finally using the 3rd hole… wait what?

Stay with me.. 😂

After feeling demotivated and lost with no direction we corrected his course,

After a strategy session we got clear on his goals and got a plan of action set.

On the back of that, he executed everything to a T

Jacks shedding lbs week in week out with his new diet structure and with a gentle push in the right direction has managed to absolutely dominate his start to 2024

Training is feeling and going better than it ever has, we’re still in the early stages.. 💅🏼

We focused our attention on moving better because as we all know,

the better we move, The more we do and so the cycle keeps going.

Just over 4 weeks in and jacks down 3 hole sizes on his belt and showing zero signs of slowing,

Losing body fat while building muscle can be complicated if not applied correctly… not here!

We’re cooking something big in the lab! 🥼 🧪

We started not so strongly coming off the back of a nasty illness 🤒

That hasn’t stopped Jack from smashing it week in week out,

He’s absolutely smashed his first 4 weeks and determined for more progress in future

I asked him to think big when it comes to his goals and he’s done just that.

Project super hero is a go;

From not tracking, snacking where he can and eating everything that’s put in front of him

To following our plan to an absolute T

Meal prepping, tracking off meal plans, budgeting macros to better suit HIS SCHEDULE

And dominating his training,

From CrossFit/cardio king to building his best body yet.

Muscle is growing stupendously and body fat is incinerating

Phase 1 is almost complete, final push over the next 2/3 weeks,

Then it’s on to phase 2 (Henry cavill Jr.) is a go 🚀
