Just sharing a bit more about me as I believe in transparency as a PT.
We are not perfect and have our ups and downs with training/eating like everyone else.
Any PT who says they don't... I call BS, but I digress...
I'm building back up to my usual gym routine after being so hyper focused on training others and other life events that have been going on.
I forgot to look after my own health and lost my routine for a few weeks and it really did do a number on my brain, sleep, and emotions.
I'm a creature of habit and thrive with structure, routine, and a plan.
Turns out when I don't have one my brain isn't happy.
I cried 3 times in a week, what's that about!??
I only cried twice after major surgery in February, and that was only because I was really bored and when I got off the plane my thighs looked like I was a size 20 again and I had an overly tired girl meltdown 🤣🫠✌🏼
Anyway, today I got up at 430am and started it by sorting the dogs, doing a bit of journaling, following my skincare routine, and then coaching my lovely 6am and 7am gym clients for overhead press day.
Before my 930am clients came in I got my own workout in and did a bit of a full body sesh.
Absolutely loved it and my head just feels so much better from lifting the weights and moving my body. Movement is truly the most underutilised medicine when it comes to mental wellbeing.
The rest of today has consisted of scrubbing the house top to bottom, getting the washing up to date, walking the dogs, cold plunging in the home tub and going for my long awaited ultrasound scan.
Happy to report my kidneys are working fine, and the bladder looks ok, it's just a bit overactive because I'm getting old and peri menopause is doing me dirty.
PSA for the ladies... do not let your doctor fob you off by saying, "your blood levels are fine"
Mine are borderline and I have brain fog, joint aches, trouble sleeping, waking up lots in the night, hot sweats in the night sometimes, a bladder that says we have to go right now, just to name a few.
I saw Bupa who wrote to my doctor stating their recommendations for medication, so hopefully my doctor will be in touch soon to get me started 😃
And with that I need to go rescue my princess aka husband after his crap day of train cancellations and get him fed before that 430am alarm calls again.
Tomorrow will be another good day!
First up my amazing Friday 6am and 7am crew, my lovely PT client at 8am, my awesome 930am class, then a private PT at another wonderful ladies home before my whatsapp video call with Dr K to discuss my upcoming thigh lift surgery and bit of revision.
Cannot believe it's less than 6 weeks away!!!! Eeeek!!!
