Over many, many years (Currently 25 years) the Kickboxing Academy (TKBA) has helped 100's of members achieve so many great things, from red belt (First grade) to world championship status...

Being Bolsover's very first full time Martial arts facility the Kickboxing Academy (TKBA) has earned many awards and accolades, working along side local schools and authorities to provide fantastic training and opportunities to our local community and beyond...

OUR MISSION:
To provide 2nd to non Martial arts, Kickboxing and fitness training to all ages. With classes available 7 days per week for both junior and adults, private tuition and additional professionals offering personal fitness and Hapkido training at the TKBA facility... there is something for everyone! Whatever your reason, fun, fitness, competition or self protection.... we're here to help!! Either with our own classes or to point you in the right direction for the goals you wish to achieve... CONFIDENCE DOESN'T ALWAYS LOOK CONFIDENT..

Sometimes confidence looks like walking through the door even though you're nervous..

Sometimes it's standing at the edge of the class before finally joining in..

It's trying something you've never done before.
Getting it wrong… and trying again..

It's putting your hand up..

Training with somebody new..

Remembering a combination you struggled with last week..

For a child, it might be the first time they walk onto the mats without Mum or Dad beside them..

For an adult, it might simply be deciding:
“I'm doing something for me.”

Confidence isn't something we expect people to arrive at TKBA with..

It's something that can grow, little by little, every time you turn up..

One class.
One technique.
One small win at a time.

And eventually, things that once felt uncomfortable start to feel completely normal..

That's the progress we're interested in..
