Being Bolsover's very first full time Martial arts facility the Kickboxing Academy (TKBA) has earned many awards and accolades, working along side local schools and authorities to provide fantastic training and opportunities to our local community and beyond...

OUR MISSION:
To provide 2nd to non Martial arts, Kickboxing and fitness training to all ages. With classes available 7 days per week for both junior and adults, private tuition and additional professionals offering personal fitness and Hapkido training at the TKBA facility... there is something for everyone! Whatever your reason, fun, fitness, competition or self protection.... we're here to help!! Either with our own classes or to point you in the right direction for the goals you wish to achieve... 30 Years of Building Champions... and we're only just getting started.

Looking back through these photos reminds us just how far The Kickboxing Academy has come since opening our doors in 1996.

Over the last three decades we've trained thousands of students, watched children grow into adults, helped families train together, developed future instructors and leaders, celebrated countless gradings, and built a community that feels more like family than members.

These photos capture just a small part of our journey. From packed classes in our early days, Halloween parties, leadership programmes, special events and seminars, right through to today's thriving academy filled with students of all ages working towards their goals.

What makes us most proud isn't the trophies, titles or belts...

It's the people.

The confidence gained.
The friendships formed.
The challenges overcome.
The life skills developed.
The memories created together.

Many of the students in these older photos are now parents themselves. Some became instructors. Some still train with us today. Every single person has helped shape the TKBA story.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey over the last 30 years.

At TKBA, we're not just developing great martial artists... we're developing future leaders. 👊

Our Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) is designed for dedicated students who want to take their training to the next level by learning valuable leadership, coaching and life skills that will benefit them both on and off the mats.

During this session, Coach Lyndon was leading discussions on the importance of professionalism, tone of voice, positivity and motivation - all essential skills for anyone looking to inspire, support and lead others effectively.

The benefits don't stop with the JLA students either. As these young leaders develop, they help create a more positive, welcoming and supportive environment for all of our members. They become role models, mentors and an extra source of encouragement for younger students coming through the ranks. 🙌

Leadership isn't about being the loudest person in the room. It's about setting the example, helping others succeed and making a positive difference wherever you go.
