I paid £8.99 for an Asda delivery because I genuinely could not be arsed to go to the supermarket. 😂

And it was worth every penny.

Because I know myself.

No food in the house + busy day + tired and hungry Jen at 6pm = “f**k it, shall we just get a takeaway?” I know shock horror an online coach who admits to not being perfect.

It’s not because I have no willpower. It’s because I’m s**t at being healthy. Im just a normal human who when tired and hungry, tends to take the easiest option available.

So I made the option I actually wanted easier.

I sat at my desk with a coffee, ordered the food, carried on working and that evening had chicken, rice and veg.

Nothing fancy. No heroic levels of discipline. Just removing a bit of friction and making aligning with my goals a bit easier.

We spend so much time telling ourselves we need to try harder when sometimes the better question is:

How can I make this easier?

Meal delivery. Microwave rice. Frozen veg. A 30-minute workout instead of an hour. Buying lunch instead of relying on 7am-you remembering to make it.

Healthy habits have to work in your actual life.

And sometimes that means paying the fu***ng £8.99. 😂

T-5 days until DEKA FIT 👀

5 days to go. 😬

Training is done. Nothing to gain from trying to cram more fitness in now, so played padel for 3.5hours today 😂😂. Plan this week just keep moving, recover, eat, sleep and arrive Saturday ready to fu***ng go.

Doing this one with 𝕸𝖊𝖙𝖆𝖑.𝕸𝖊𝖊𝖙𝖘.𝕸𝖚𝖘𝖈𝖑𝖊𝖘 too, which makes it even better. From what started as coaching her for fat loss to lining up together for a DEKA. So proud to have her as my partner. If I’d have said to her 18months ago she’d be my functional fitness buddy she would categorically have laughed in my face!🥹

Now we just need to survive it. 😂

Strong. Capable. Slightly questioning our life choices.

Absolutely love being part of the Court Queens community 👑🎾

Women’s padel, a bit of friendly competition, a lot of laughs, followed by drinks afterwards. Obviously.

One of the things I love most about sport has absolutely nothing to do with calories burned or how many steps you’ve done.

It’s this. Finding something you genuinely enjoy. Meeting some amazing people. Getting competitive. Having a laugh.
And making movement part of your actual life rather than another thing on your to-do list.

Surround yourself with women who straighten your crown 👑

Training gets sold to women as a way to change their bodies. Lose weight. Burn calories. Tone up. Fit into the jeans. And I’m here for that, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look different.

But I want women to get so much more from training than a smaller body. I want you to know what it feels like to get stronger. This is where it changed for me.

To have more energy for your actual life. To walk into a gym knowing exactly what you’re doing. To realise your body is capable of far more than you gave it credit for. And to have something that’s yours when work is mental, family life is chaos and your head is full of everyone else’s s**t.

Because yes, bodies change. But so does the woman living in it. That’s the bit I care about most. For you to feel strong, confident and capable.

I currently have spaces available for 1:1 coaching inside The VITAL Method™, personalised training, nutrition, habits and accountability built around your life.

If you want to lose fat, we can work on that too.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’re building a stronger, fitter, more confident version of you that you actually get to live your life in.

DM me VITAL and let’s talk. 🧡

Still trying to work out how to make padel and coffee a legitimate career choice 🎾 🤣

My elbow and ability may be an iodine, but we can dream 🤣🤣

Some days you’ll be motivated. Most days you’ll be tired, busy, stressed, have 400 other things to do and really cannot be arsed to get changed let alone head to the gym.

Nobody wants to hear you don’t need to feel motivated to do it anyway. Motivation is great when it turns up, first few weeks you’re on that something new high, but it’s short lived which is why it’s unreliable as f**k.

The women who make progress aren’t permanently motivated. They build boring habits. They make commitments to themselves. They stop negotiating with themselves every time they don’t fancy it.

But there is a but, there’s a difference between genuinely needing to rest and simply not being arsed. Learning to tell the difference is part of the skill.

Sometimes you need to borrow a bit of motivation from someone else.

A gym date with a mate.
A message from your coach.
Someone in the group posting that they’ve trained when you were about to sack yours off.

That matters.

VITAL isn’t a bunch of perfect fitness women smashing every target every week. It’s real women like you, with jobs, kids, stressful weeks, s**t nights’ sleep and days where they’d much rather sit on the sofa
Eating a bag of Doritos.

We show up. We adapt when we genuinely need to. And we cheer the f**k out of each other while we do it.

You don’t have to do this alone.

🧡Want women in your corner and a coach who knows when you need a push and when you genuinely need the plan changing? DM me VITAL.

Not every training session is going to be your best.

And some days you’ll spend a good portion of the day trying to talk yourself out of doing it at all. 😂

Today was one of those days. And I did regret leaving it until late. But I had a gym date booked with my friend AND client Hannah and knowing someone else is expecting you makes it a hell of a lot harder to swerve.

That’s one of the massively underrated benefits of training with someone. Accountability doesn’t have to mean someone checking whether you’ve ticked a box.

Sometimes it’s just knowing your mate is going to be there waiting for you and neither of you wants to let the other down!

Did we have the greatest session of our lives? Nope.

Did we train anyway? Yep.

And sometimes that’s enough.

You don’t need every session to be amazing for it to count. 🧡🧡

I’ve been a bit overwhelmed recently. I’ve been stressed and I don’t think we normalise this enough.

I’m a working mum running two businesses, and sometimes I don’t always practise what I preach.

Anyone that knows me will tell you I thrive on being busy. I’m also not very good at being bored. 😂 But sometimes that also comes with less helpful ways of coping with stress.

For me, apparently, that’s pulling my bloody eyelashes out.

It’s called trichotillomania a recognised mental health condition where someone has recurrent urges to pull out their hair. For me it’s my eyelashes, and it tends to rear its head when I’m particularly stressed or overwhelmed and tired!

And it’s my sign that I need to slow the f**k down for a sec. So today I’ve taken the day off work. Not a “day off” where I secretly do six hours on my laptop.

An actual proper one. I’ve had a Spanish lesson. Dropped Otto at Aunty Charlie’s for a sleepover and travelled down for Harry’s tournament tomorrow. Nice hotel. Nice food. Maybe a glass of wine later. And just switching off a bit.

Because knowing how to look after yourself and actually doing it when life gets busy are two very different skills.

And yes, apparently even the coach needs reminding sometimes.

There’s no grand lesson here.
No five-step morning routine.
No pretending I’ve got everything perfectly balanced.

I’m just fu***ng tired and I need some space.

So I’m taking it. Take a second and have a check. Do you need one too?
