It is with a heavy heart to announce that after 7 seasons together, Ramsey & Mistley Ladies have folded. Unfortunately we have had no luck in recruiting a new manager or enough players, so we have been unable to enter a team this season.
Our ladies team formed in 2018 and has always been a safe, fun and welcoming space for women in the local area. We have lead a strong example of women’s football and grown a loving community throughout the years.
Thank you to every player that signed on throughout the years and added to the legacy of this special team. There is so much to be proud of and we are left with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to all of our managers and coaches who have trained us and motivated us to be better, and put us first no matter what. And thank you to all of our supporters who travelled to watch us every week whatever the weather, building our own cheer squad on the sidelines.
We have achieved so much as a team. We started out losing games every week but still going home with a smile on our face, enjoying every minute because we got to play together. We always gave it our all and left everything on the pitch. The hard work paid off with us winning the league and getting promoted, and getting to the 3rd round of the FA cup.
