Worsley Cricket Club Welcome to the Worsley Cricket Club official page. Details of teams, matches and events will be posted here. We have been awarded ECB Clubmark status.

Worsley CC is based to the west of Manchester and is proud to be a founder member of the Greater Manchester Cricket League. The club was founded in 1846 by the 1st Earl Ellesmere as one of the ways of improving the lot of his estate workers and those involved in building St Mark’s Church. The club has had two other grounds but has been on its current delightful plot just through the trees off Wal

kden Road since the late 1800’s. Apart from during World War 1, cricket has been played on the ground continuously in both a friendly and competitive capacity. We have 3 senior teams and our fast growing junior section will have teams at under 9, under 11, under 13 and under 15 during the 2017 season. We also encourage playing for fun and have a large and still growing section of children aged 4-8. If you are on the look out for a new club we are always happy to welcome new players. Feel free to come down to a practice session (Tuesday evenings for seniors, Friday evening for juniors, from mid April) or contact us via this page or our play cricket website. http://worsley.play-cricket.com/

Saqib tonnes up and Grant gets 60, with the pair putting up a 150 run partnership. Oldy added 40 at the end and wickets were shared across the bowlers💪
