🏏 TEAM NEWS | SATURDAY CRICKET

Two big games await West this weekend.

The 1st XI travel to Horwich with a strong side ready to pick up some points on the road, while the 2nd XI return home to take on Wythenshawe as they look to continue picking up valuable league points.

Good luck to all players, scorers, officials and supporters travelling this weekend.

🏏 MATCH RESULT | WEST WILDCATS

A dominant all-round performance saw the Wildcats secure a superb 77-run victory over Mottram this evening.

Batting first, we posted an imposing 186/4 from their 20 overs, led by an outstanding unbeaten 76 from 44 balls by Aaqib Uppal, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. He was brilliantly supported byGeorge Hill, who smashed 47 from just 25 deliveries, striking 5 sixes as the Wildcats accelerated through the middle overs.

With the ball, the Wildcats never allowed Mottram to build any momentum. Aaqib Uppal completed a superb all-round display, claiming 3 wickets for 9 runs from 1.4 overs to wrap up the innings. There was excellent support from Hamish Dunlop (2-14), Anu Singh (2-19) and Oliver O'Brien (1-19) as Mottram were dismissed for 109.

A fantastic team performance and another excellent win for the Wildcats

🏏 T20 WIN FOR THE WOLVES!

A superb all-round performance at Denton West as the Wolves secured a convincing 9-wicket victory over Monton Mayhem.

After fielding first, the Wolves produced a disciplined bowling display to restrict Monton to 112 all out from 19.3 overs.

Luke Melling starred with the ball, returning figures of 4-0-27-3, while support came from:

* Conor Woolley – 4-0-21-2
* Dylan Madden – 4-0-29-2
* Oliver O’Brien – 4-0-20-2

In reply, the chase was dominated by Luke Melling, who carried his form into the batting innings with a blistering 82 from just 39 balls*, including 10 fours and 4 sixes, guiding the Wolves to 115-1 in just 12.1 overs.

A brilliant team performance and another excellent result for the Wolves.

The Wolves are back in action tonight as we welcome Monton Mayhem to Denton West for a T20 clash under the evening sun.

A youthful side mixed with plenty of experience takes to the field, with Conor Woolley leading the team and Carl Jackson behind the stumps.

Good luck to all involved as we look to continue building momentum in the T20 competition.
